If the older spec about SP being a splinter part of Melissa has any truth then you might try the names Yasmine or Jasmine. Or maybe SP's real name is also Melissa.

It also seems like the only people who are going to be able to try this are current crew members, or people who just answered the call to be crew members. And the thing is, Melissa may not consider you a crew member if you free the Sleeping Princess. So a loss of your handle on the roster may be a consequence, just putting that out there.

And sure; you might stop being a crew member, But just think - you'll live forever in the wiki!

Further the plot! Viva Ilovebees!

Does anyone else see this as a huge parallel to neverending story?

Childlike Empress: "Bastian! You must yell out my name!"
Bastian: "I can't!"
Childlike Empress: "Bastian! You must! Or else, the nothing will destroy everything!"
Bastian: "I can't! That's impossible!"
Childlike Empress: "Bastian, Please!"
Bastian: "MOONCHILD!!!"

mmm...childlike empress chicken Smile

I've looked at the names of the "Sleeping Princesses" of fairy tales, I'm crossing out Snow White, because as somebody pointed out-she was not a princess when she fell asleep, and she had over 3,000 different names in different books. Sleeping Beauty, on the other hand, was named Princess Aurora at birth, but 'renamed' Briar Rose after the event with the fairies.

I'm upping my search, since there were many more fairy tales with sleeping princesses, no doubt.

I looked into this almost a week ago and posted all my findings (pretty close to what you found) but nobody listened! Now DM is getting credit for this... Crying or Very sad
I'm not saying you took credit for what I found, I'm just sad that nobody ever (sniff) listens to me...

---------------

Anywho- I recieved an e-mail as well.
I do believe that anyone (not just our CO's) can answer an axon and say "Sleeping Princess" or "Princess" when Melissa repeats "ilovebees". I'm pretty sure most axons do repeat "ilovebees" over and over, right? the ones I went to did... I had plenty of time to say it to the recorded mesage.
Whoever tries it first needs to hurry and let us know...

Oh, and DM, I'm glad we're on the same page here Wink

peace out-

I think so. Here's a picture of it.

Vortech's comment brings to mind the idea that perhaps we 'unenlightened' should be hiding our analysis from those with higher clearance?

Well, do as you please (though I don't know how you hide the rest of the community from a dozen people.) but I was merely displaying a long-standing reluctance to speaking for other people. I know it was multiple because the email I got was addressed to other crew members. No secret shared knowledge involved.

Just thought I'd share ... if you haven't already, try to formulate your own text to communicate with the Flea.

(Note: I posted this text elsewhere on the forum, but I want to make sure the Flea hears us, and I think it fits much more nicely with this thread's topic Razz

Also ... I missed a label; there should be a "grope:" before the handshake. But ... uh ... I don't think the flea will be THAT meticulous ... will he?)

------------

Quote:
behold:
seeker

reveal:
!label AquaDoctorBob

!hndshk seeker

!reveal seeker:
AquaDoctorBob > !attach seeker
seeker >> !seek Princess

that is the law and the whole of the law

I sent the preceding text to the Pious Flea since it seems he's now discovered hotmail.com. Razz

It's basically telling him to keep up the search (but if you're a real beekeeper you knew that already, didn't you? Wink )

Spec:
Here's a thought that nobody's brought up yet... What if, by "Calling" her name, the SP means for us to do it using the phone keypad? Maybe she wants us to call the number her name would translate to?

Meh, that's my two cents... Back to lurking!

SLEEPING PRINCESS

Here's how it matches up. Doesn't look like it could work out for an actual phone number, but you could try punching it in when the 'queen falls apart', I suppose.

Quantum! Quantum makes anything possible!

But I'm sorry, you're right. We shouldn't be hiding information from each other in this.

Um, you also forgot to behold yourself as an external process before the !label command... Technically, you didn't label anything. Smile

I have sent the following message to the ladybee777 address:

Code:

Princess, if you find yourself unable to operate under the new
circumstances, please try to forward this to the Flea. Perhaps he can
help you. I am writing it this way so that the Flea understands, if it
is he who finds this message first.

!reveal seeker:

behold: extern proc 0
!label extern proc 0 queen
queen > !bite Princess
success

behold: seeker > !seek Princess
fail

behold: extern proc 1
extern proc 1 > !seek Princess
fail
behold: extern proc 2
extern proc 2 > !seek Princess
fail
recurse

behold: data 0
!label data 0 balloon
!addlabel balloon red
behold: Princess > !deploy red balloon
seeker > !seek red balloon
success
seeker >> !seek Princess
success

If the Princess manages to send out some kind of a beacon for the Flea to home in on, he could learn to seek it.
[/code]
