I don't know if it's been discussed, so sorry if it has.
In . . . Jeff and Vince discuss the Slendy breaking into Evan's house thing. In it, they say something I can't understand and then that someone's been "acting a little weird even before then". I always took this to mean Evan. Who else had a reason to be acting weird? This is really standing out to me in light of the last video where "Evan" says that he "brought you these little fishes".

Get ready for a rant. Not bothered if you read it or not, I just want to get this out

EverymanHYBRID is REALLY starting to piss me off. This isn't another 'oh god, why can't you guys keep on topic?' thing, cos I know I can check the news thread if I don't want OT discussion.

But seriously, this has to be the least user friendly series ever. I wanted to like it, because some of their older videos were great, specifically the first 'proper' SM appearance, and the one where he appeared in the woods, and Evan went crazy amongst the bags of blood. They've had some awesome ideas, such as using the Rake, and finishing off the old creepypasta story. And Evan is just an awesome character.
But for a start, it's even more f*cking incomprehensible than LOST. One video will end Evan acting crazy amongst bags of blood, the next will open with him sitting next to Vince calmly, saying 'We're worried about Jeff'. Ridiculous unexplained stuff will happen in the videos, the latest example being shots of Evan going crazy in a house whilst he is outside in another shot talking about Ryan or whatever the guy's name was. And it won't be addressed. They will ignore it. Evan has an (awesome) knife fight with Slendy, they (awesomely) try to run SM down - never even mentioned again (besides apparently in the USTREAM)

Videos won't follow on from each other, they'll be calm as hell and kidding around right after all this crazy stuff is happening, and it's so easy to think 'have I missed a bunch of stuff?'

Which takes me to the next point, HOW DAMN EASY IS IT TO MISS STUFF? So we had to follow this, Can You See The Words, EMH Twitter, and Alex. CYSTW and Alex seem to have halted right now, but then they've introduced this HABIT e-mail address thing. And talking of HABIT, if you're not reading these threads when people find the boxes, how the hell are you supposed to know any of this shit about Dr. Corenthal, or past-Evan/Vince/Jeff, or HABIT, or the rabbits, or what the hell any of this even means? And now there's a Tournament? And I'd love to know what's going on, but I can't be bothered reading through 21 pages (again, not blaming you guys, discuss as much as you want), and if I do I'm going to have to keep following this, and these 'seven trials', whatever they are.

And now it's just getting even more bullshit confusing. I'm reading all this stuff about Nish (not insulting you or anything, I don't know you ) and I'm SO confused. Is he/she in game? It doesn't seem like it, could just be a shout out to a forum member. And then they do a USTREAM. I go on Twitter, apparently there was a USTREAM the day before. Was it important? You know, I'd watch it, but it's TWO HOURS LONG.

Again, no offence to you guys, but it seems like if you're not a regular member of this thread, and you're not following it every single day, you get lost INSTANTLY. This is so annoying to follow, and it's really pissing me off.

I'm new to all this, but it appears the joy of an ARG is being there all the way through, looking out for this stuff, and being on forums to talk about it.

But yeah, miss stuff or turn up late in the series and you're boned.

This ain't a tv show as such.

for the record, i only started following EMH maybe a month and a half ago, and as you can see i've had my account here for less than a month. i kept my mouth shut until i felt like i had a handle on things, read through the wiki and the tvtropes page, and only read back maybe 150 pages when i started talking here. EMH is most definitely not everyone's cup of tea, and if you're not prepared to get in deep, you probably shouldn't bother trying to get into it at all. at the risk of sounding like the filthy hippie i am, you just gotta go with the flow, man. let the series and the forum carry you along and just absorb everything.

that said, i don't blame anyone who thinks this is too complicated or confusing to follow. EMH is in no way an ARG for folks who just want a fun diversion from the mundaneness of everyday life. it's for the hardcore, batshit crazy folks who can keep track of half a dozen-odd different stories at once and nudge them together as things progress.

That's been the issue for some time now, at least for most of us - what if this is all a plan to draw us in??

However, that would also not answer why Linnie/Albert are round, what role the Doctor and his children have in this, as well as why the Habits/Damsel are involved. And just where the Operator and the Rake fit into the bigger picture.
