@Yoon - I cannot stop GIR. But as long as you don't try to lay claim to Vince, you have nothing to fear from me. Very Happy

@SkyLarkin - I assumed a traditional-sized paper grocery bag.

Neutral he only suggest it being able to fit in a bag.

That paper bag thing can be arranged.

OK, REALITY CHECK!!

Regarding Habit, Rake, Doctor and the Operator...

We argued that both Rake and the Operator are different beings.

We can assume that the person who sent the app out is HABIT (hence the seven trials of...).

We can further assume that the person who hijacked the twitter is also HABIT.

We also know that HABIT is HABITEvan's real birth name, and that HABIT has turned up on the paper found in the school.

So let's see if we can agree on this:

HABIT is neither Slenderman nor the Rake. Even though he shares a name with Evan, he also doesn't seem to be Evan.

We have a video of Evan talking to empty space, which may suggest HABIT is sort of a "consciousness", a ghost if you will, who possesses people's minds.

I still miss the link between him and Slenderman&Rake though... we know that those "childhood demons" are stalking the crew (even though as of late it seems to me to be a lot more passive than with MH - Slenderman is mostly seen when the crew goes somewhere else, and the Rake - as menacing as he is - seems to have sort of an agenda) just as they stalked Corenthal's "children". But what is HABIT? A demon? If so, he seems to be different to Rake and Slenderman.

If he indeed IS one of the two, then I wonder where the connection to HABITEvan is... Why was he named HABIT by his mother?

The french "habit" means "living in", BTW. "j'habite dans cette maison" means "I live in this house", for example (dear frenchmen, please don't be offended by my bad french).

I posted this awhile back, and it got drowned before I heard people's responses, but I am convinced that HABITevan (aka Fairmount Evan) is the Rake. They seem to have similar personalities, the phone was in the Rake's closet, which means that the Rake could be posting the tweets (I know the phone wasn't always missing, but it does prove that the Rake can access technology) and the fact that the Rake tore up the Corenthal letters, and not in a random destroying everything kinda way, because he had to go into Jeff's room and find the papers, presumably while not destroying anything else.. Meaning that the Rake has some stake in the Fairmount stuff.

EDIT: and I'd like to propose only using the Operator in terms of MH. Just because thats the only series that seems to be using that term specifically in regards to Slendy. But thats just semantics.

I believe that The Rake fits in as some sort of pet that belongs to the habit, which would explain why it didn't attack Evan yet (unless Evan just gets lucky and gets out before The Rake catches him), and maybe even how The Rake found Alex. I think it would be terrifying if HABIT sent The Rake into Jeff's house to keep him handy without Normal!Evan stabbing it to death.

Also, I believe that Slendy and the HABIT are somewhat on the same side, but have different intentions, and with that they have an uneasy truce. The truce is since Slenderman wants to victimize Evan, but HABIT wants to use him as a tool for whatever plan that rascal has up his sleeves.

EDIT: Think of The Rake as having a pet lion, just that lion was the smartest lion in existence, and if you told it too, it could perform assassinations on people, tear up letters, even steal college kids phones. But that's just my theory, it's been a while since I read The Rake creepypasta, so I'll read it again tonight to check the flaws of my theory.

Which poses the question: what do the two or three parties intend in the first place?

We can see in the Corenthal letters (shivers) that Slenderman was around back then already. The Rake is not mentioned in there, right?

That could certainly lend some credibility to HABITEvan being "it". Then again, looking at the mythology and Linnie etc., we can suppose the Rake pre-dated the "old" Evan...

Thats assuming that they're adopting the original mythos. I assumed they weren't, and that the similar names, Linnie, William, etc. were just nods to the creepypasta. Like Candle Cove. A cute easter egg but nothing more. Especially because their Linnie would be way to young to be the Creepypasta Linnie.

Is it bad that i've only read the first corenthal letter? and the rest i've just inferred their content from discussion?

It's because every. single time I had come up with some theories, (while catching up with the thread)- a corenthal letter was found that tore them all to shreds.

I really should go read them now though.

But it's the same problem with the HYBRIDS - their 70s counterparts are uncannily close.

I assumed it meant 'brown bag' lunch bags. Which, incidentally, are about the right size for USPS flat rate boxes.

OUTSIDE HELP!!! interloper!!!!!!! BURN THE RABBIT BURN THE RABBIT!!!!!!!

erm.... I assume he means a normal lunch bag, but you do bring up the valid point of their being more than one size to brown paper bags.
