As I said in my first post, MHs is really the first and only ARG I've ever been involved in (with some new ones since joining uf).

I'm still getting used to the pace. And this is maddening. I want more info from Jay!

As to the Mind Control theory, I really think that Moon's first response to it was a better rebuttal than she cares to admit. If he's aware of the twitter and the youtube, then it would seem that he was aware of at least parts of S1.

And besides, having all of S1, which we've analyzed and picked apart like crazy, be all essentially a planted deception by the Operator would be kind of poor storytelling, imo. I feel like the MH creators are really, really good storytellers, and I trust them not to pull that particular brand of device.

Maybe I'm just as into this as you guys, but the way I see this so far is as follows:

When you become "noticed" by slenderman, you start feeling paranoid and videotaping yourself constantly. After this happens, it can go one of two ways;

Path 1: Like Alex, you finally stop recording yourself, get rid of all your cameras, and slowly slenderman goes away.

Path 2: Other people (we know masky has a camera) keep videotaping themselves, allowing slenderman to maybe.. turn them into a masky? If you look at the masky twitpic on jay's twitter, he's wearing a hoodie much like the one Jay zips up in entry 27 at about 4 minutes in. I think Jay is a masky now, and thats why he can't remember anything about these last 7 months; he's been out, masking it up.

I like this pace right now. I can keep up with it. Moreover, I can then keep up with all the posts that everyone makes in response to each new update!

This keeps the pace with how Jay was acting towards the end of the last bunch of videos, too, anyways. I think it would be strange if he started posting daily. This isn't a weird and neat coincidence that these things have been happening to him, not as in the very first bunch of videos that were uploaded in quick succession. He has some idea of what the stakes are. They're far higher than keeping us informed would really warrant. Keeping quiet about how things are saves him from potential harassment from TTA; he probably figures that TTA is definitely on the lurk and a presence in his life. Keeping us updated vs. what kind of flack he'll get from the antagonist seems more realistic to me!

I didn't say I didn't like the pace, I said it was maddening. But yeah, I know that while it might be driving me crazy, it might also be exactly what others want/need. I'm just used to hitting link after link when I joined after S1 ended. Now it feels more like real life!

I honestly do like it, though. Just making me crazy.

And my roommate (who should get a uf but doesn't) wants to point out that the girl who walks by Jay in the hallway looks an awful lot like Sarah in #9. He says he did a side-by-side comparison of which facial features he could figure out. And he says they are the same person.
