Rules of Decorum for Creators

So I've seen a lot of 'Slender Man Critical Mass' and 'sick of 'Oh look just stumbled upon a new slenderblog totally not mine'' threads as of late, so I thought that maybe we could all just have a discussion about what we want from the creators of slenderblogs in the terms of:

A) What the blog should accomplish
B) How the creator is to try and get his blog out there
C) WHEN the creator is to try and get his blog out there
D) any other hints, tips, tricks, grievances, annoyances, or general comments for the creators of the blogs.

So just give your opinion on those four things, and hopefully the creators will listen.

You mean at what point it's ok for them to go: "OMG NEW BLOG LOOKY LOOK!!" ?

I think once they have a few entries. It's sorta sad to see a blog with only one entry. We could have an entire thread devoted to SlenderBlogs with only two entries that suddenly stopped.

My advice would be to stop using the "Core Theory". Slendy was far better when he couldn't be fought at all, when he was more like a force of nature. A sadistic, torturous force of nature, of course.

I find it less of an issue judging when a trailhead should appear as it is how. Simply posting a "I found this new blog" thing is pretty poor, as is adding only other Slenderblogs in the hope someone else notices it. Which leaves me at the very least with a blank on how to get your blog/vlog noticed.

Speaking from experience, people are pretty good at finding Slender related things on the internet regardless of who you "friend" with your blog.

I think the real issue here is how to introduce a thread into UnForum. I would suggest submitting it to the "List of Slenderblogs" thread so at least it's linked, and then let life take its course. If people want to discuss it they'll make a thread.

Yeah. I would say that the blog should:

a) be pretty much underway before a thread is created for it.
b) be submitted to the main list and let us make the thread.

Yes, but that tends to be more general Puppetmaster stuff and doesn't appear to be significantly active. Plus SlenderARGs appear to get shunned a lot by "real" ARG players (I use the term "real" derisively). Honestly, given the number of Slender-ARGs popping up, I'd love a subforum of this devoted to the creation and operation of said games.

I think the problem is that a lot of creators want people reading from the get-go. They think "oh man i have this great idea, I really want to get it out there", but they want people reading and being active in the game before the idea materializes. That real-time interaction is what makes ARGs so much fun.

I think this might be why you have so many blogs popping up where Slendy is in the first couple of posts. You're not going to get comments or readers at the start if it's just regular stuff. They introduce Slenderman early on so that they can have a reason to post the blog here. But I suppose this is more of a problem on the creator's side than on our side, because the truly great blogs are the ones that have some patience and pacing, so the writers just need to learn that.

I'm not sure I get it, I don't think you're being straight forward enough.
