New Flynn's Arcade Opens In London
Running from now until December 2nd!

How the HECK did we miss this bit of info?

Quote:
Flynn's Arcade has hit London's Southbank as part of an interactive promotion for the upcoming TRON Legacy.

The arcade, a bit smaller than the version that hit the San Diego Comic-Con the past two years, is located at Queen Elizabeth Hall and features a brick facade and arcade entrance that leads visitors to a back room, decked out with a full-sized Light Cycle. Fans can also watch the trailer, play the video game and receive a complimentary photo of themselves with the Cycle (printed on the spot by the exhibit's sponsor, HP ePrint).

Outside the arcade, a TRON-inspired light show is projected at night against the Hall, illuminating the building to make it appear as if it arrived straight off the grid.

ComingSoon.net was on hand to capture a few images of the arcade (shown below) and ran into one of the very first guests, comic book author and TRON collector Martin Fisher, who had brought along a very special item from his collection: one of the actual prop helmets that Jeff Bridges wore in the original film.

The promotion, running now through Thursday, December 2nd, is open from 1pm to 9pm. More information is avaible through HP's Twitter feed
.

And here's some pictures from it:

Anyone here who's in London planning to attend?[/img]

As long as you keep in mind the arcade part of the event is small you wont be disappointed...o and make sure you wrap up warm,it was cold up on the roof where the light show was.

I went there last night. Definitely worth a visit. As per Fluff's comments, the "Flynn's Arcade" part is very small - 5 or 6 vintage arcades at most - but the attention to detail is nice.

Stairs at the back of the arcade take you down to the full size lightcycle model and various arcades set-up to play Tron: Evolution, watch the TL film trailer, and print off your pictures (courtesy of HP of course!)

The stairs also go up to the roof, where you can see the light display. Which is ok.

Always on the look out for any FlynnLives stuff, but I couldn't find anything...

The South East snow has now closed in (Wed). Was planned to take the trip into town tonight, but its now looking very unlikely that i'll make it, even by Thursday at this rate. Sad
