There might be a new clue for the cities.

As a Riversidian (hows that for a made up word??), I'm gonna do my best to take the day off and head into Los Angeles. My guess is to start finding bookstores around the area and start staking them out. Have your twitter feeds running and good luck!!

I have to wait til I get home to get my badge...... can't do anything FLASH related here. Sad

Hey 42E........ RIVERSIDE, CA I know you can do it!! Very Happy

I'm torn, I am not sure if it's going to be like the sneak preview event where on that day/time it unlocks the list of locations/sign ups for a later event or if it will be a live event happening at that second.

I'll be ready to go in San Diego, assuming we're included. And I'd be surprised if we're not... it all started here Smile

So any of my boys in San Diego want to get together to tackle this? I think they'll do SD again, and I think we should meet up somewhere central san diego, maybe centrally close to some book stores and make it happen!

Awesome, I'll check in with Beef2Taco, maybe he'd want to join up, too. Of course assuming we're in on this city thing!

So I'm not sure what to do now... is next week a big event? Or will there be a bigger event the following week?
If there's a big event in NYC, I'd like to go there... but if there are two big events, I'd only be able to wing one of'em (excluding an extra trip to Toronto of course Smile)

If next week's event is the same everywhere, and (presumably) Toronto is on the list, I will certainly be there... but if there is indeed a big final event in NYC in 2 weeks, I want to be there Smile

So, if my calculations are correct, for UK programs the countdown ends at 4pm on the 8th December. Is that right? Question

Yup that's what I make it.

Superb! That's the first of five days off work for me, hope something goes down in London!? Very Happy

I really hope Melbourne, Australia is included.
Our car is in need of repairs so we wouldn't be able to drive interstate again, like we did for the trailer event, for anything if it's in Sydney.

I am just guessing here, but I would say this would probably play out similar to Zerohour: AKA, at the end of countdown, the cities are revealed and then at certain times in the afternoon/evening, the detailed info on them is revealed. I can't believe that they will be anything more then a pick-up/hunt with minimal interaction with people employed by 42 Entertainment.

My guess it that it will be a series of dead drops that will combine to provide access to another page for pre-screenings. Didn't WSS essentially do that?

Been following the thread and managed to do the puzzle and such, wow, thanks thebruce, solved it pretty fast!

So looks like all us Westcoast ppl in Cali going to have to be on the countdown site at 8 am exactly!

Hey what program or tab is the "difference effect" found in, I have been looking under filters for Photoshop but don't see it. I would like to try this for myself.

Someone who uses Photoshop could answer that - I use Corel.

In basic terms, you have an object and place it over another; if there's an exclusion/different/negate effect of some sort you can apply to the object, that should do the trick.

In Photoshop it's available when you use layers, it's one of the layer blending options.

ah there it is, thanks!... still I must be doing something wrong, since I line 'em up set the top layer to difference and/or exclusion and I still get gibberish. oh well.

Only apply the difference blend to the top image. Also, use the 12-sided die to determine up/down/left right for each symbol. Once you have a physical papercraft die in hand it makes things easier when doing it in Photoshop.

So is this a countdown for the dates and locations to be announced or a countdown for when the event will start?

More than likely its when it will start. Hopefully locations will be posted on flynnlives.com

Hopefully you're right. I can manage to go into work a bit late but if turns out to be a trailhead to a day long quest, I'll be super bummed!

I posted a question a few pages back, but we're posting so fast that it probably got lost, so I'll ask again.

We used the left Bit to get the word epiphany.
What was the right bit used for?

I just find it weird that we were asked to solve a second D12 only to not have it used. Is that right?

The 'left bit' as you call it is just one half of a D12. The 'right bit' is the other half. You need both sides, and then need to align them to determine the symbol pairs. Each pair of symbols (there are nine pairs) when combined (or rather 'differenced') forms a character of the 9-character clue word
