Well yeah, he has certainly been "unstable" I was just checking to see if it started happening after he attacked slenderman, was a theory I had thought of that by attacking him he got "infected" by habit, idk guess i was wrong as none of the times really match up.

However, maybe such extreme exposure to slenderman has caused his "condition" to advance at a greater rate? ...like i said idk

Could the "Slender man" video be considered a possession by HABIT? I suppose it's too unclear what is possessing Evan or who he's talking to for that to be considered an appearance of HABIT huh?

Weirdly enough, it sounds like Evan is himself in the talking-to-an-empty-chair portion of the video. He could be talking to HABIT, but he seems to be talking to him as himself. But it's not clear if that video is canon, anyway.

 		In Joke's Over, I believe, is his first instant of complete and utter madness.


See, when the three guys see Slender Man, Evan attacks him. Not under anything's power; He said he'd attack Slender Man on sight. The gang was still fresh from Slender Man's hauntings early-on, and before that moment, believed they were being pranked maliciously. Evan even promised he'd make whoever was doing it pay.

But when Evan disappears into the woods, when they find him again, he's completely still, sitting on the ground. And as soon as blood starts to spill from one of the bags, he's cackling like a loon. That's not Evan anymore.

As for talking-to-an-empty-chair, Evan appears to be addressing Evan.

Since clearly he's not talking to himself, it's either HABIT holding onto his body and yelling at his mind, or Evan is yelling at Fairmount!Evan, or Fairmount!Evan is yelling at EMH!Evan.

I've been clicking through to see if they are different. But if you are listed as "UNKNOWN" for a username in the Rabbit list, my current plan is to just replace it with whatever name is linked to the video... unless someone has a better suggestion?


oh no thats a good idea, your going to have the numbers in order right? another suggestion if you arent already doing it, organize them into the teams as well Razz, but yeah if you know who they are thats good, besides that using the youtube account name/channel name for the name seems to be a good idea, unless someone tells you change their name otherwise?

thats what i was getting at, what if the large exposure to slenderman that evan seems to have more than others is what i guess brings HABIT out?

Well... Evan was doing strange things before this, staring at dead trees, standing still and looking into the distance - you think maybe habit was calling out to him somehow earlier on?

Maybe whatever HABIT is latched on/manifested/ took hold of Evan in the heat of that moment, but had been knocking on the door for a while. It could have seen Evan's rage against slendy as a desirable host, and could have tricked an emotionally compromised Evan by offering "a way to fight"


That's an awful lot of assumptions, but I could see Habit as being both an opportunist and a trickster. Either that or Slendy is like an octopus, but instead of escaping in a cloud of ink he escapes in a forest clearing of tree-gore bags and HABIT spores Very Happy

Not sure how much I agree with on the whole, but that is a really good point there. It was an oddly specific moment I'd never thought about until you mentioned it just now.

I should probably read prior pages, but this thread confounds me. Anyway... are we saying that HABIT isn't a multiple personality deal, but a separate being inhabiting Evan as conducted by The Rake? I mean, I thought the reason HABIT existed was so The Rake had a minion to combat Slendy.

Also, I feel like you're right with the whole idea that HABIT took root when Evan found the clearing with bags of dead rabbits (it would make sense that they're all rabbits in those bags), but I think HABIT truly immersed him/itself in Evan when they were in The Ark and Evan was by the water.

 		Hell, you guys, if we're just talking about when Evan starts acting scary, it's been from the very first couple videos. Like the first hidden video where he's sharpening those knives like a creeper. D; It's mentioned in that medical record that sharp things had to be kept away from Fairmount!Evan so I don't think there's ever really been a point where Evan became possessed by HABIT as much as just HABIT ingraining himself more in Evan as time goes on.

 		I was hoping someone would CONTINUE with this, because I hate being the only one to come to a conclusion.

Anyway.


So, we're all in agreement that Evan's first encounter with Sloondoormoon is really weird and stuff.

And that there's possible HABIT shenanigans.

BUT.

Vince and Evan introduce the clip to us.

They're aware that this happened.

They can see this video.

Actually, most people believe the reverse: HABIT uses the Rake to combat Slendy.
