i'll jump out of lurker mode for a moment...

i think that vince and jeff are plenty aware that evan is falling off the wagon. they even talking about evan not being right for a while in '...' but then again, that was a morse code video, and since they can't see or remember that, maybe it didn't happen...yet...or something...? i dunno. but i think they are plenty aware. vince just goes in denial mode because that is what he does and as for jeff, jessa disappears and he goes all "sad panda" mode. or maybe jeff and vince just brush off evan's cackling as a mental breakdown of sorts. he has been through all this stuff with someone breaking into his house, has probably been hearing things(the upper body workout video) and then tries to attack slendy and he just disappears, in the woods...with bags...just like his nightmare from the dream videos, and he just breaks down. everyone reacts differently to extreme stress/tragedy, some go into denial, some ball their eyes out, others go silent, maybe some laugh hysterically.

idk. just my random rambling.

I think it's more or less the fact that there were bags filled with dead people/animals around them. I wouldn't be questioning anything, either; If I were Vince, I'd just be trying to hold onto my sanity.

My point is, why won't someone bring this up to them?

When I asked Alex about Evan walking round and round with that purple tape on his mouth, he said that it was just Evan being Evan so it's plausible that Evan has a past history of psychosis.

The way I see it is like this....but like I always say, I could be wrong:

Corenthal is alive and well......except mentally. He disappeared and was never found, hence why his wife says he's died. I believe that he has some sort of mental illness that causes confusion and he's still writing to this other doctor. In the letters he states that his mental illness is dwindling due to lack of sleep(?).
I think the guys were patients of his at some point but the trauma of dealing with the creature caused them to forget about each other, then they meet again. To me Evans psychosis is evident through Vinnie receiving that video of the dead animals and Evan giggling his tits off in the middle of a forest. In the Corenthal letters it states that Evan/HABIT also killed rabbits. Coincidence? Vinnie seems to have that same level headed calmness about him that the Vincent in the letters had. The child knew there was a corpse of the Rev in the next room yet didn't seem bothered in the slightest. To me, this reflects Vinnie and the beard of awesome. As for Jeff, we won't know because those letters got destroyed.
