i dunno if it was made clear but the members of each team will be together, traveling to the location, etc. i know for a fact this is the case for the LA Valley team and the Downtown LA team. these two teams are meeting in one location and waiting for further instructions. is that how everyone else is doing it as well? we all travel as groups?

Actually, for large cities where there are multiple possibilities for drops, I would suggest that squads could stake out each likely drop and communicate when the time comes. That way if one group is close to the right drop when the info comes out, they can alert the others to what's up and maybe allow for others to catch up a bit better. I know in some of the cities in just 5 min. one could make it between possible drops, and thus a 'Johnny on the spot' could try to hold just a bit to allow more folks to get involved.

Keep in mind, there will be others who are not here on uF, who only lurk, or have no idea about any of the communities involved in this. My 'stakeout' thinking is to help the chances that more of us here can gather up at the right place, but remember to be the example and try to encourage others to share, and share what you get.

I'm debating the merit of asking the admins for a subforum for threads relevant to this event, so we can keep them more accessible. I think each location's team should end up with its own thread so they can organize. Doing it publicly will also reduce the likelihood of people saying uF played 'against' everyone else. Its a public forum, so anyone could follow along.

(insert clever cooperative motto here)

San Antonio (or Austin if needed)

I see no one has stepped in for San Antonio and only Captain-Ron for Austin. I can get SA after 2pm or ATX after 3 (if traffic is nice).

I'm down in Charlotte, NC along with velocity if anything comes up. Judging by the list of cities Norelco has for their advance IMAX 3D screenings (16 cities!) the closest thing will be DC, though.

I hope its not just the same cities as the Norelco thing. That's going to hose a lot of people. That would mean no Orlando, no Denver, no Portland, no St. Louis, no Salt Lake, and forget anyone outside the US.

Something to remember - the site for the countdown is Flash, so a smartphone is not really enough to see the site update yourself. A laptop is about a must, as is a mobile internet connection. At very least you need to start from a location with wifi.

Hi Red. Is London gonna be one of the cities then? I don't think it's been confirmed yet...

If London is one of the cities I will be finishing work at 4pm! I work near The Royal Exchange/Bank station - so I can be very central (and can meet up!) within a matter of minutes.

Lets work together! Let me know.

No, not confirmed but I'd wager London was quite likely to be included - WSS came to London several times, and FL was here for Zero Hour, so chances are good. Fluff is London too, right?

Possible plus 1? Let me know.

Yup Fluff's London.

Can you send a Private Message to more than one recipient? It won't let me for some reason...

Hopefully we'll get some additional guidance from Zak and Flynn Lives as to the cities on the tour.

For Orlando, since its such a big area we may want to split into areas. I'm planning to pick a Starbucks with WiFi and have a cup of coffee and my laptop and cell.

We should exchange cell #s once we get confirmation that the Orlando vicinity is a site.

I'm here, but I'm not sure if I'm able to take off work on wednesday, especially because there's a free (really big apparently) holiday breakfast happening at my building...

I'll definitely be online, so I can help out in that regard, and if its really worth it, I'll try to take an extended lunch since I'm on the subway, but yeaa...

Who do we have for toronto so far other than you bruce?
