Coasterg was mentioning...maybe it be wise to standby in different areas around Orlando (hopefully not Lakeland but alas)...and if we need to we could set up a separate feed/event page on facebook to pull the final family together with locations of where everyone will be stationed. if you have twitter that would also be a plus on game day for informing the rest of the posse whats happening in your neck of the woods (chudos to al's slogan/today show).

communication will be our major tool if we cannot find this "ironmonger"...strength in numbersz??...is what i learn in DARE class. ha

I'm another Toronto person, hoping I don't have to try and take the day off. I managed to get out quickly for the last scavenger hunt but this time looks iffy.

Figured I should register and say hi. The puzzles are usually done by the time I find out about them so I haven't really had anything relevant to post so far.

Once we get closer it may be wise to split this into regional threads. I think we may want to start at least considering likely drop points. For LA I could think of Hollywood & Vine area as likely, seeing as Disney owns quite a bit of that complex. Culver City is POSSIBLE since the Hull Building (AKA the 'real' Flynn's Arcade) is downtown and there's a bookstore nearby (or at least, was the last time I was there, a couple blocks down the road).

Any other ideas?

It's supposed to be 16 cities, right?

If you look at the list of cities for the Norelco ticket giveaway, it just happens to have 16 cities in their list.

Atlanta
Bentonville
Boston
Chicago
Dallas
Detroit
Ft Lauderdale/Miami
Houston
Los Angeles
Minneapolis
NYC
Philadelphia
Phoenix
San Francisco
Seattle
Washington DC

The info for each showing also has a "pre-show event" scheduled an hour before the screening. I'd say these are our 16 cities for next Wednesday.

I'm thinking you might be wrong.. and not just because there's no way I can get down to Miami.

The norelco screenings seem to all be on the 13-15th, just like the casting call sheet. Endgame appears to be going down on the 8th.

Right, but it seems most everyone one on here is expecting this to lead to a screening of some sort. My guess is similar, that the 8th will be our final task/game which will lead to a signup for a screening the following week.

And I desperately hope that you're right and I'm wrong, the 15th (SF's night) is the one night this entire month that I can't go Sad

Not sure if Philly will be on the list, but I am free in case something goes down. Would be nice to see something happen here- there was a decent crowd at the IMAX preview.

BTW, I'm thinking that we should consider bookstores that existed in '89. Might restrict where to centralize a bit. Since we are to be retracing his steps...

Hi Red. Is London gonna be one of the cities then? I don't think it's been confirmed yet...

If London is one of the cities I will be finishing work at 4pm! I work near The Royal Exchange/Bank station - so I can be very central (and can meet up!) within a matter of minutes.

Lets work together! Let me know.

No, not confirmed but I'd wager London was quite likely to be included - WSS came to London several times, and FL was here for Zero Hour, so chances are good. Fluff is London too, right?

Possible plus 1? Let me know.

Yup Fluff's London.

Can you send a Private Message to more than one recipient? It won't let me for some reason...

I've had a go, no joy either.

I think this is a super smart plan, now that we have all the teams coordinated, location scouting is for sure the next step. I will fire up my googlefu between shifts today for valley squad locations, you seem to know the downdown area wanna take the searching for that section? I am gonna try and scout the locations durring the week to see if I can rule any out or as most likely. Thanks for the idea!!
