possible leaked concept art... Haven't seen anything anywhere so figured I mention it here. A leaked image (Possible) has popped up. It looks pretty awesome if this is indeed the creature.

This looks neat, but... hmmm... first appeared in imdb-forum? Hmm...
But who knows. I'd like to see something similiar in the movie.

That is one creepy monster, however, I'm not so sure that this one is real. Dunno why though. This one is probably becoming the new mutated humpback whale from the clover days.

Unless the "It" can levitate/fly/hover or manipulate its size, the amateur vids of the firefight with the "It" seemed to show artillery being fired upwards, as though they were firing upon something quite large, or above them.
The problem I have with the concept art is that it shows what appears to be grass blades at "It's" feet, and if that's a road to the right of the art, it doesn't add up, size-wise. If that is a road, and the size of the "It" corresponds, then it seems to have grown since its railroad ride.
And it has 5 appendages?
Oh well, could be, and at least something to talk about.

Didn't the Cloverfield "monster standing next to Statue of Liberty" pic originate from IMDB as well?

Cool PIC Although reading the footer that says concept art I thought it said MIB. Or was it M.I8?
Could there be another MIB movie in the making?

The best thing about concept art.. is just that.
When you submit concept art for a feature they have many diffrent layers of what that concept will be.
It goes through many stages and changes.
So while this may be concept art for THE creature.. it could just be the type where it is artists rendition or free thinking as they call it.
As you see the date is listed as 06/15/10 which would be at the very very beginning of the creation process.
I would not hold this to anything vs. the final CGI.

Eh, that doesn't strike me as being all that novel. Looks a bit too 'I made this for my DeviantArt profile' to me.
I wonder...

Yes, I think too. And all the Cloverfield "official" posters with the hand in the gound and shadows over NY too.
But anyway this monster design is pretty original. I wonder, if it fits to the style of Neville Page.

Anyways, this monster doesn't look like Elvis, does it?

I call fake, for several reasons. But mostly because the Paramount logo does not include "A Viacom Company". I've searched and every official instance of the logo I've found includes that line.

I call fake. It does looks very "deviant art".
As a matter of fact, when I saw it, it looked really familiar.
When Cloverfield came out, people were drawing up their own versions of what the monster looked like, for the people who hadn't seen the movie.

All three of them were done by the same person, and all three share some pretty common characteristics with the "leaked" concept art.
Plus, the Paramount logo is very crudely photoshopped on.
AND, going through Neville Page's portfolio of concept art on his website, none of it is really in that style. His designs are mainly pencil sketches, then he sculpts them in CGI.
Fake. End of story. Hahaha.

IMHO it does not look like Neville Page's work.
Also the image says "Working Title - Instamatic/ M-18" (which is a Super-8 camera BTW.) We already have "Darlings" and "Wickham" as alternate titles, a third one seems too convoluted. And using a Super-8 camera model is TOO obvious.
Third, it states "Production/-Paramount/Bad Robot" yet only includes the (incomplete) Paramount logo and not Bad Robots. IMO it is odd to name two production companys but only include one logo.
