Boston Screening 12-13: Unfiction People Unite UPDATE:
I will be at the Boston Common Theater mid-afternoon on December 13th to secure spaces for any area Unfiction members who would like to attend this event. Please see page 5 of this thread for details and pm me if you are planning to attend.
From Final Countdown
I thought that I would set up our own thread for the Boston wing of the Final Countdown event next Wednesday. So far this is who I have signed up:
tehnakki
Waterborn2o2p
Avatrix - (phone holder)
tron_fanatic
outcast
Nikki Wraith
musecuts
viyao15
JCByrdman
dvorak
As mentioned in the other thread, I will be posting updates to twitter (Waterborn_2o2p) as I can. We have a good number of people to case out the Boston area, so I suggest that we split up into teams to cover more area. Since I will be working in Fenway, I can take the Backbay area. I suggest that we plan to cover the following other zones as well:
Fenway/Backbay - Waterborn2o2p, musecuts, dvorak
City Hall Plaza/Fanuel Hall - JCByrdman
Boston Common/Public Garden -viyao15
Cambridge Area (Harvard, MIT, etc) - tehnakki, BitGamer
Colleges Area (Comm Ave down near BC)
Financial District/South Station - Avatrix
Esplanade & River (?)
What other areas should we focus on and who wants to cover where?

I can definitely do the Cambridge/MIT area. Though I'd think that the ARG would be in Boston not Cambridge.
I'll be on campus either way pre-8am so I can just stick around that area till we get the clues and figure out where the event actually is.

I'll be in the Fenway/Backbay area most of the day. I have classes at strange times but I don't see them being any problem, but if they are I'll send my brother out because I don't think he has many classes.

I work in the financial district, close to Downtown crossing/South Station.
I found the phone between Government Center & the North End. If we end up looking for book stores, there's a big Borders at the corner of School & Washington, with a small plaza in front of it that frequently has performers. Just a possibility and a great location if they use books stores and want visibility.

First post updated. We still need someone to cover the Esplanade and the Comm. Ave/Colleges area. I anticipate being online around 10:45 am and hopefully running the streets as soon as the clock releases the first clue. Do we have anyone in the Boston area who is will to stick by a computer and provide support for those of us in the field?

I can try the boston common/public garden/esplanade. I'll have a bike with me! Also, I can call to get quick notices from my friend on her computer. I also have a smart phone with me.
Should we meet up like some of the other teams before wednesday?

I would be willing to have a pre-event gathering at my place, but it would have to be some other day than Wed as I will need to be at work extra early to ensure that i can take off. I live a bit outside of town (Woburn), but I have an arcade in my basement complete with an actual TRON arcade cab. Let me know if anyone would like to get together, play some TRON and talk strategies.

Hey WaterBorn - tell me where to be, and I'll be there. I have until 3 or so free.

I don't have a car so a bike ride from Somerville to Woburn would be pretty hard core. If anything, we should exchange emails/phone numbers soon. It would be really fun to play with the tron cab!

I ride from Woburn to Fenway twice a week when the weather is nice. With that said, I understand if everyone cannot make it out my way.

My wife and I are landing in Montreal in the wee hours of the morning, and since Boston is right between there and my final destination, I decided that'd be my best chance at getting to partake in this. So it's hard to say when I'll be able to get into the city, and since I'm no expert, locales are kinda gibberish to me.
But, then this all also depends on exactly what we discover when the clock runs out. As far as I can tell, we still don't even know what cities are actually being chosen. So, I'm kinda in the reserves until we know more.

Your choice, the Esplanade or Comm Ave. Not sure which area is more likely to get action.
