I think my mum knows I'd give random internet people my address. But since I live in a dorm. She no longer cares.
but it looks like docjowls (SPARKY!) isn't the only one with a guilt conscience! tsk.

(on the other hand, i explained her the habit and emh thing and she listens for abotu half an hour before tuning me out, and let's face it, every update takes at least 1 hour to explain if you're thorough).

I told my grandmother about the Slender Man mythos and the related vlogs because of the novel I'm working on. Plus there's nowhere around the new house to wander off to in the middle of the night, so that would have been suspicious.

"Andrew where are you going?"
"Umm...7-Eleven?"
"It's over a mile away and there are no side walks."
"Right. Well I'm going to go bury a necklace I bought in California because a fake Internet villain who might be the alternate personality of Evan from EMH is running a contest. Also there's a new monster thing that looks like an Albino who survived a run-in with a trash compactor."
"Oh ok."

I told my roommate about going out to do the burial in similar words to yours. His response: "I swear to god once I'm done with finals you have to get me caught up on this series. Christ."

VICTORY.

Thanks to Verizon, this can be arranged.

So uh, in turning people to this wondrous thing Demongel wins, as you guys he got his grandmum wanting to watch it. Grandmum, that has to be a hard task.

I told a friend from my film app class and they told another and another so 4 of us sat around my laptop and I caught people up and gave them the wikia.

I was talking to my brother about what I had to do for the first trial last night via text, and his response was, "That sounds weird and interesting. Go on." So he let me send him a six-page response just summarizing what has happened so far. He then asked me to go visit him for a while, since he's finally back in the state (YAYYYYYYYYYY!), so I'm gonna get him to watch the videos and explain the main events to him over the course of the next week or two.

my baby brother thinks this whole thing is lame, but his girlfriend (who does pseo at my university) thinks it's awesome. when the semester finally lets out, i'm going to get her DEEP into this shit. not to mention how i keep babbling about it to my friends and acquaintances, hah. ("so you know how they do viral marketing? where they put clues out for fans to figure shit out? it's like that, but normal people do it, too. and sometimes if the audience doesn't figure out the puzzles, the game doesn't move forward." usually, that last detail is what hooks them. it's wonderful to feel like you could be a part of a story you enjoy, hah.)

My brother's a weird kid like me, so I'm not too surprised he'd be interested. Haha. I think it was the whole having to bury one of my most prized possessions in the woods thing that hooked him. His very next question was what I was going to bury. Laughing

My friend's interested. I told her about the series a while ago when one of the last caches was found and she wanted to find one haha. Recently I started talking about it a lot and told her about the contest and she entered right away (though she ended up being too late). She still has barely watched or read any of the series so I mostly just ramble about it to her and show her the creepy stuff.
She said she'd try to get caught up soon, but she works pretty much all the time, so I might have to make her watch them.

Oh, speaking of the Rocky Horror Hybrid Show, I was singing bits of "Dammit, HABIT," to myself while walking along the snowy beach trying to find a secluded enough place to bury my object. I am easily entertained.

Oh, I forgot to get pictures of them, but a store along the way to the beach had those little wooden human figures with the bendy joints that people use for modeling poses in the window. Freaked me out. That's more the fault of Marble Hornets than EMH, but the whole Slendermythos in general has made faceless things very creepy.
