This new Corenthal letter seems like a transcript to me. I think it's written the way a person speaks, not the way a person writes.

Quote:
Maryann and I, we were... we were devastated when we learned that we could not healthily conceive.

I'm really not sure about the parallel lines on the bottom. They don't seem like a 0 and it looks very purposefully done. I can't help thinking of "Welcome to the Ark" when
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Vince says the sun had not been out in three days from what he could tell.
I highly doubt that has anything to do with it but there could certainly be a very specific and hereto unknown meaning for the symbol.
Or it's just nothing.

Hey, that's when I was born!

Nice timeline, guys. It helps put everything from the letters in perspective. I really wonder what happened between 1971 and 1976 that made Corenthal change his mind about the kids.

*Feels so goddamned old.

Hey, guys, Rhiannon and I got a rough timeline together. Feel free to add to it!

ALSO: realization. Evan reminds me of Dexter. Not from the television show so much, but from the books. HABIT!Evan sounds a lot like him.

Quote:
1969/1970: Vincent meets Reverend Green; molested by the priest for a year before "the Man" kills Green.

1970 (?): Evan/Habit admitted to Fairmount.

May 11, 1971: Doctor Corenthal writes a letter rejecting a request to have Vincent placed at Fairmount, citing difficulties of dealing with two children from "the town of ash."

November 17, 1971: Corenthal writes a letter detailing the behavior of his patient, Evan/Habit, and requests that he not be released from the hospital.

December 26, 1976: Corenthal writes a journal entry (?) discussing the adoption of Evan, Jeffrey, Vincent, and [redacted], using his wife Maryann's fortune, and reflecting on the happy Christmas they shared.

October 27, 1981: Corenthal writes another journal entry (?), this time mourning the loss of four of his children. Linnie alone remains, and is not well; he says he will take her east, away from Ohio. Refers to Jeffrey's writing talents, as well as Vinnie and [redacted] being much more visual and artistic

November 22, 1990: Evan born

June 1991: Vince born

August 1991: Jeff born

1991 or 1992: (assumed) Jessa born, possibly Damsel

1994: Alex born

Looks awesome!

Corenthal is very careful not to say what happened to the children, just that they succumbed to their demons. Did Slendy get them? Possess them? Habit? Just crazy?

I think if they just up and died, he'd say so.

whenever I hear -Corenthal at the end of letters it makes me think of bible passages and reading the letter where it's written 9. 11 or 9 II it might be far fetched but it could be a passage reference to find or something.

My mind went immediately from Corenthal to Corinthians, but reading chapter 9 of both 1 & 2 Corinthians yielded absolutely nothing.

To me, those lines in the letter look like they could be the sides of a 0 that didn't come out right. You can see the hint of a curve inward at the top and bottom of each line. Then it would just be 9.06pm.

Eh, they're not lined up with the rest of the letter. It's too high up to be part of the same row. Looks like it was hand-written on there to me.

Looks awesome. Along With Jeffrey, Vince, and [redacted], Evan had the picture diary though.

Just a thought, but what happened to Mrs. Corenthal by the time of the 1981 letter? He refers to Evan, Vincent, Jeffrey, [redacted] and Linnie as his family but never his wife.

That reminds me. If the guys do anyother Q&A, someone needs to ask Evan about the notebook he was going through in the second morse video.

I'd love to ask what was in Jeff's purple taped notebook from the Jeff video as well.

Thinking about the lines on the envelope: has anyone (besides me) wondered why HABIT seems to be posting all his trial related info at 11? Either 11pm, or 11am has been either the publish time, or the deadline for each stage so far. Given his obsession with 7s normally I would have assumed it would be 7... but we get 11.

So, could these lines be an 11?

What do you think the significance of the 11's could be?

maybe it's just a double # that hasn't been used yet in other Slender stories?

eleven is just a nice number. i mentioned before that 231 breaks down to 3 batches of 77, which in turn break down to 7 batches of 11. people make wishes at 11.11, and i know a musician who is obsessed with elevens. i don't know why HABIT would like it, but it isn't unusual.

(and yeah, tribe twelve likes repeating numbers. i like repeating numbers, too. tho for me it's an OCD thing.)

Didn't the first box say "MAKE A WISH" on it? Just grabbing at anything.

11 is my life path number in numerology. It's a very spiritual number. Awakening I think? I don't know, it's considered a master number that is very highly energized. I see the number 11 all over the place in my life due to my life path number (even before I knew it was my life path) so I like that number.

Just wondering, is this the only un-numbered letter we have? The first 3 boxes were labeled #/7, the bag was marked with 4 prints, and the letter made from Dixie's dream could count as 7.
