it sounds more like someone hitting the wall with their open palm, and the other, softer noises, sound kinda like someone hitting wood with a piece of metal or a drum-stick. (Maybe Jess is rocking out at night? Razz)

Reading this again.... this would make perfect sense as to why they have seen no other guests. But Jess doesn't get tossed out because she's related to the owner or some-such.

not sure if this was already mentioned but almost all hotels require a credit card on file thus we can make the assumption that jay owns one or a debit card. my first move if i was in that situation was to check my bank statement or transaction history, which would provide me with a money trail of where i have been over the past 7 months and solid leads to work on

he still obviously has access to his email if hes uploading videos to youtube, most banks and credit card companies send electronic statements to your email once a month,

The clicking I am talking about have nothing to do with the noises you used for your Morse code analysis. It is much quieter that the banging and scrapping sounds. You can barely hear them at normal audio. I heard them because I boosted the volume with audio manipulation software while trying to get a better idea of what the sound at 4:15-4:17 was.

With that being said, the noise at 4:15-4:17 was probably something being scrapped against the wall.

Man, I have been spending too much time listening to that 30 second exert of audio.

This clicking, was it a sort of regular, hollow sound, like the sort of thing that is first heard in Entry 9? Because I think said sound was constantly overlooked in the first series, and might hold some clues still. (Morse code anyone?)

It might help if you uploaded the audio file with the enhanced audio.

Also, no one else seems to have mentioned this, but did anyone else notice J's and shaking when he held the orange pill? Not sure how significant this is, but it did stand out to me.

Also, why did J blank out his name when he was so keen to give out Alex's? I'm guessing paranoia, accompanied with the fact that he was looking for Alex in the beginning, and that he didn't know what he was getting into, but I do wonder if there is some significance to it. Jessica didn't offer a last name, so why did J? Personally, I don't go over and announce my last name to people I just met, nor do any of my friends. This, besides the fact that we caught a bit of J's name (something beginning with an "M,"; I'm thinking it might be "Mann" from attempting to read Jessica's lips) makes me a bit suspicious.

I might mention that I quite like the idea of J trying out 1411 as a code for the safe.

Hand shaking has been mentioned a few times already and I brought up the lack of Jessica's last name and the presence of Jay's a few pages ago, but everyone seems to have overlooked it. I found it really strange, because if he was so paranoid as to bleep it out in the video, why would he just tell a random stranger asking about his camera?

Maybe it was censored out because it was a fake name? (Which only further adds to my theory that maybe he knows more than he's telling us.)

Entirely possible.

I skimmed a bit, mostly because I'm a bit intimidated on catching up after so many months, and am not really up on a lot of things now, but hopefully I'll get back into the swing of things soon.

It seems a bit weird to me that J would conceal things like this for no apparent reason, but I think I remember some doubt about his reliability as a narrator during the first series. Still, I would assume that would have more to do with him being fucked in the head than any malice or ulterior motive on his part. On the other hand, the creators might be attempting to roll with the fact that he doesn't seem as disturbed by the goings-on as a normal human would be in the same situation, which they even mentioned in an interview. So I don't really know.

As is, I don't think we have much in the way of solvable information so far. There's the safe, which may or may not be a puzzle, but to be honest, I think there's still more to solve in the first series (old TTA videos, perhaps with clues in the entries). Right now, the most obvious thing for J to do is to stay up late, wait for the banging coming from Jessica's room, then go and knock on the door and ask what's up. Of course, being J, he's going to avoid the most obvious solution for as long as he can.

Or, do it, but go about it in the most roundabout way.
i.e. going to the creepy house at night, twice.

Don't know if this has been said or not but, Does anyone else think the noise at the beginning of entry 27 sound a heap like the noises coming out of Jessica's room?

The knock at 4:40 in 28 does sound eerily similar to the consecutive knocks in the beginning of 27.
