During the filming of Marblehornets, Brian seems to disappear at inopportune times, and has not been on screen at the same time as slenderman as of this WMG (Note: Referring to entries 17 and 12 specifically.)

Thanks guys! I'm not going to tell you to stop discussing, but collectively you have been quite helpful getting those last bits of info that no one person could efficiently find.

And since we're talking about basementland... am I the only one that thinks of that place as being some kind of "Slender Dimension" that the Operator warped J (and earlier Alex & Seth) to?

I always thought it was in that building Alex was walking around in Entry #13, but I don't know for sure. I also thought that it definitely WASN'T the basement of Brian's house due to the way Jay seems to teleport there in #23. Plus, it seems way too big and weird to be in a normal house.

For what it's worth, from #3 and Tim's interview, I had figured that Alex's house was far removed from other neighborhoods -- enough to be in the middle of the woods, cabin-style. That could be why he had moved into Brian's place at some point, in hopes of getting away from the Operator.

As far as Brian's disappearance goes, I think that having blood-splatters all over the damned place is about as close as we're going to get to an answer, unless they actually go and grab actor!Brian, film him lying quietly for a few minutes in the basement and cough up a missing tape to show us that he's died. XD Which... is about as likely as them dropping the entire plot on us in the next two episodes. (And about as desirable!)

In terms of the location of the abandoned basement in relation to the location of Brian's house, I don't think that that is necessarily relevant, so long as we understand that there is a door and one side is Brian's place, the other is a low-budget Hellscape.

I don't think we can assume that the Operator has a subconscious luring influence upon people, though it seems likely that with the way that Jay seemed to dance like a puppet to TTA's whims for many videos, there is something going on with regards to mind-control. Maybe not a Would You Kindly sort of deal, but I'm guessing there is something going on.

We did also see blood splashes in the Operator's basement; Alex's head wound could have had something to do with the sink full of blood, too.

To me, the way the blood is splattered into the sink always made me think that somebody coughed it up into it. It is quite a bit of blood though, probably more than any person would cough up in one sitting...er, fit. But, when Tim starts violently coughing in #20 the idea struck me that there might be some blood mixed with that phlegm.

However, purely speculation, and my post is pretty OT concerning Brian, but that's a thought that crossed my mind a couple times when viewing the blood splattered sink.

So....
Pretty much we all got it backwards. Brian didn't move in with Alex - Alex moved in with Brian.

Good call. Makes sense.

My first thought was that the sink full of blood was coughed up, too, though there isn't much evidence of that being likely, unfortunately! We'll have to see if physical wounds really come up again in MH; the creators didn't seem too keen on making them!

I'm certain the Slenderdimension isn't actually Brian's basement. I actually missed the fact Alex moved in with him, also, I thought J just assumed there'd be a clue as to his whereabouts there.

Another little tidbit of information that I haven't seen so far- according to Tim as of the interview entry, "dead animals" had been showing up on Brian's lawn over the course of filming. Jay questioned if he meant pets or what, but I think there was never a clear answer to this.

Whether or not this was related, I can't tell you. But it would be useful in the wiki, maybe >w>

So lets get this straight, Brian had problems with the Operator but never knew it and then disappeared for NO reason to our knowledge leaving no clues.
Very vague.

I think that the building that we saw Slenderman next to in entry #13. Also, the real Jay mentioned that they almost got in trouble with the police multiple times while filming, so they may have been in that building.
While we're on the subject of the basement, entry #26 showed someone in the basement for a split second. Around 2:36

Definitely not. The distortion there was greater than anything seen in any other entry before or since. It would also make sense considering the part where Alex counted everyone else as "gone" when it seemed more like he was transported while the others were not.

That said, I really, really hope the creators don't forget about the Brian issue (or everything else for that matter) and leave them as loose ends. I don't mind an ambiguous ending, but for god's sake, there was so much going on with the blood and the bullet casing and so on that seem randomly cobbled together, yet will be a letdown if never given further investigation. I'm really hoping the creators can pull it together so as not to break the story for a lot of the fans.

1) Just because it's not in Brian's house OOG doesn't mean it's not his basement IG.

2) The building they were shooting was an old hospital, I believe. There are other videos on YouTube of people exploring it, but I can't remember the name of the place so I can't find them right now. Either way, it's not the building from #13 (at least not in real life).

Something speculative, that I have nothing to back it up with but, I think that Brian was probably the one staying in the closet. Within the house, we see a mattress, blanket and bottle of water. At first I thought it was a place in which Alex was hiding, but whenever he filmed himself sleeping (or trying to anyway) he was always in a bedroom, not a closet. So it could've been that he was hiding in the closet during the experiences between Alex and The Operator, then after Alex left, Brian moved to behind one of the other locked doors choosing, or moving away after the dead animals started piling up in his yard while Alex was there.

He probably simply moved. That would explain why no one seemed to really note his "disappearance" as strange. He just left.

Afterwards though, maybe he was recruited to be TTA. I don't know.
