I am fine with everyone involved taking an in-game role, but there are now a large portion of people that feel left out...

The flaw in your logic is thusly explained:

Every time you answered an Axon, you got a sound clip before the rest of the beekeepers did. Why? Because it took several axons going hot before that clip was "publically" available.

Therefore, nothing has changed in this game, except that now, instead of an axon that anyone could go to (but mostly only I go to), we now have calls being made to my personal cell phone (which no one else can go to).

With me specifically, I never recorded (and don't intend to record, because I don't have the equipment) any calls. Yet, before becoming crew, no one accused me directly withholding information.

To date I haven't withheld information, and unless specifically instructed to do so by an in-game character, I won't.

Edit

Unless, you're withholding information about what you've withheld. Hmmmmm. Shocked

it's ok. really.

Mazian - you might feel like you need to shout in order to be heard, but you don't. Honest. Assuming good faith is a basic operating principle here.

I believe you.

Many other people believe you.

And, collectively, we rock at this game.

It's difficult to control the inner four-year-old a lot of the time, especially when it's going "I WANNA HELP!" and the replies are along the liens of "there there, you just sit and watch."

Maybe I'll just keep e-mailing the ladybee777 address until I get a reply.

Or maybe I'm just grumpy that I got home today to find no e-mail from the Sleeping Princess, despite a half-dozen messages to her in the past week. I'm apparently not even involved enough to get a mass e-mail.

Dana didn't get a copy of it either and she is the SP's bestest friend in the whole world. So try not to take it too personally. Smile Wink

(FYI: I did forward it to her. )

I, uh, got a copy of that email. Does that mean that the Flea likes me?

*shudder*

-also feels left out-

I feel left out not because of lack of axons, because there are quite a few where I live. It's just the ones that are close-by will be going off in the morning when I'm in school(damn!), and the ones that are relatively close are a few miles away. No one will drive me (For, you see, I'm only 14.), and I obviously can't ride my bike. I pray the sets aren't completed tomorrow. Although they just might be.

It never does. In the interest of saving time and space on Spacely's board, maybe it would work better if you [and any one else whose inner child feels left out] would just choose one (or more) from the following:

1. What were those mean, awful people thinking by leaving you out? Don't they know that the game cannot function without you? I don't see how we can go on...

2. This is so unfair. How dare they treat you like this after all your hard work? You deserve better than this...

3. What rotten luck!! I wish they had been kind enough to tell us at the beginning that this whole process would be so completely random...

4. Let me buy you something to make you feel better. What about that very expensive object you were showing me just the other day???

5. How about if I fix one of your favorite things to eat? Maybe chocolate? Wine? Margaritas and nachos? Vodka tonic? ??

6. I understand exactly how you feel. Anyone would feel the same way. It is really just too annoying....

or you could simply

7. [insert favorite affirming, soothing and emotionally supportive statement here.]

there have been pretty much no axons near me, and you'd think that Orlando would be somewhere to put them, right? I mean, there are more Beekeepers than just me in this city, right? Also, going to college in Gainesville makes it difficult to get to a phone 33 miles SW of Orlando, of somewhere near Tampa, etc. There was supposedly one in downtown Orlando (unless I just completely read that wrong), but with all these freaking hurricanes coming through, everything's closed or has no power... (:

Supposedly, the one downtown was in City Hall, but those phones were removed due to renovations.

I just consider myself lucky. In the beginning, there were three near me, none of which rang the first week (that I could find, anyway). Annoyed, I picked the one closest to my house (the 33 miles SW of Orlando one) and posted everything about the site, including the most likely phones and what telephone number they had. That coordinate remained, slightly different. When I mentioned that middle of the day was causing issues with work, the next week the axons started occurring in the evening. Since then, except for hurricane issues, someone (usually me, but not 100%) has been able to nab the phone each week. The time for influence has probably passed, but I believe this axon only appears each week because I was specific in my complaint, and provided information to specifically correct it. Otherwise, I'm thinking I'd be considering taking a trip down to Brandon.

Then again, it could all be a coincidence, and I attribute too much to my own actions. Wink

Keep your hands off my axon! Twisted Evil Raspberry

Although it seems this time it's scheduled to ring after the building closes.

Ha! Mine's outside! Wink

It is pretty funny, though, because the handset is actually split in two, held together by the wires and a steel cable. Melissa isn't kidding when she complains about the transmission medium.

I guess I should have been more vocal about the Indianapolis locations. We only have 2 in the whole city. I know of at least 5-6 people that have hawked these AXONS. I wish we could get more in Indy, but you're probably right about it being too late.
