Another hint for the "Evan and Damsel are both HABIT" theory- Damsel was commandeering a laptop right before those emails went out, correct? It's presumably Evan's, and they've gone into full-blown Wonder HABIT Twins mode.

Er, so, back on something resembling the topic...

On my way to work this morning, I was staring out the window and contemplating EMH (as you do). And something occurred to me about the recent alleged Slendersightings*, both in Alex's trial video and more recently (and, imo, more likely) in "Damsel." I know a lot of people are probably going to be unhappy with this theory because it defies standard Slenderman conventions, but...

When was the last time we really saw Slendy on camera and actively harassing/interacting with the crew? Ashen Waste, at the end of which the guys swear up and down they hit something. They felt a collision. Maybe they actually did hit Slenders. And now maybe he's a bit wary of them. He's been watching, observing them, perhaps giving them a slightly wider berth, now that these individuals have actually attacked him-- more than once, if you count Evan's attempt. Most people just run in fear, or, if you go back to the much older myths, stumble towards him so he can eat them or whatever. Perhaps he's letting HABIT and HABIT's pet Rake rough them up, physically and psychologically, to see how they handle it, rather than go at them directly again.

In short, maybe Slenderman views the EMH boys as a little bit of a threat.
