I was wondering when a TO thread would launch

I'll be heading up in the morning, though I'm not sure what would be a good starting point either. While the IMAX is a good bet for a final location, if it's anything like WSS, camping at the final destination would not be a good idea as they'd likely have a way to reward people who do the entire run (they met a final operative who handed out joker cards as proof, getting them into the 10 minute preview ahead of people who just went to the theater first).

My best suggestions for starting points would be Union Station, Nathan Phillips Square, or ya, the Chapters by IMAX.

This is, once again, presuming Toronto's in the list and that the final event is a scavenger-hunt type of romp around downtown.

And if the model is past events like this, other cities may go live before us, giving us a bit of fore-knowledge of what to expect.

I don't think anything will actually begin at 11am though. I expect a list of cities and locations with specific times when each will begin, and rolling out a few at a time.

Honestly, dunno what to expect. With the hype that's building for this last event, one would expect they'd be prepared not to disappoint; though at the same time people may build up too much hype themselves, and destine themselves for disappointment... I think it would be a dumb move for this to be a 'first come only winner' type of deal (like the pitcell phone drop), but I wouldn't count that possibility out just yet.

Anyway, I plan to have my extra battery and depending on what happens, will attempt to video stream events live.

If it's a scavenger hunt that would be sweet, I'd love to see something a little more collaborative, I gotta say the phone drop was too easy.

I just hope the phone works. I have no way of testing it.

I'll likely be online at that point, but may be able to slip away if it won't take all day. I won't know if work will be busy until the day it all goes down.

Haha, glad to see everything is being setup as well.

Imagine my suprise while lounging at home, I see these weird texts come to my phone. Calling the number made me then realize what the texts were, who was texin my fair phone. Implication ->Group updates for toronto aor me while sitting at my desk at work. Yay!

So I'll have the live-stream and chat set up at

but I can't text chat while streaming. If someone in Toronto on the ground will be on IRC as well, perhaps you can also be in the ustream chatroom to update viewers in case the stream on my phone is ever interrupted.
I think it's a little dumb that any 'chat' message sent via the app during stream is sent to the social stream (twitter, facebook, AND chat) as well as halting the broadcast when it's sent... but oh well.

This will be an interesting technical experiment

I'm going to be watching the site from a caffine/wireless source in the core.
As well as listening for my phone.

Upon instructions.. how to communicate best...it's gotta be fast as I will be zooming out to capture the flag. I'm willing to share, but I indeed will be tryin to get there first, unless we gleen the collaborative nature of the city's requirements from earlier postings from other cities.

I'll be equipped with the Mrs.' cell tomorrow, but it looks like work may be busier than today. Hopefully I'm not stuck on the bleachers for this one, but if I am I'll be watching eagerly!
