I'll be the guy with the Encom badge with Face Off and Tron Guard pins and a ridiculously long red and white scarf.
So are we meeting at Fuller's or somewhere else?

Looking like Fuller's @ 7AM would be a decent plan. Anyone that can't make that might want to PM their cell # to someone else on the team so we can contact you about what we want to do for stakeouts. I plan to be there even earlier so I can eat before we start our planning.
If anyone has a way to do mobile internet, that'll be really helpful. Sounds like we'll have at least one laptop, an iPhone, an iPad, and a smartphone or two. Anything that can act as a hotspot would help, and remember to load an IRC client on your smartphone.
If we do 2 squads, as it appears we should be able to, one for the Powell's area and the other for the Borders area would be smart. As noted, they within an achievable running distance of a few minutes. One person with really good on foot downtown street knowledge one each squad would be ideal.
If there's anyone in the area who can't make it, or doesn't want to run around on foot, but can be in front of a computer please let us know. As noted, we will probably need online operatives too.

It looks like I may have spoken too soon, and will not be able to be downtown after all, but...

I will be online and can pass on any info needed for you guys. Euchre will have my number for those who need it. If anything changes, I will let you know. I will be in the Beaverton area, if by the off chance the Beaverton Powell's is in the mix.

I can not meet at 7am due to family commitments as I said. Who wants to snag my cell number and let me know what is going on?
I also have EZ Navigator on my phone so if we need to find exact directions or an obscure shop on the fly I can put in the name.

I can plan to meet the rest of the downtown team at the 7am meeting at Fuller's. I'll have my laptop, smartphone and car with me, so I can be mobile if needed. It looks like Powell's doesn't actually open until 9am, so if Portland is on the list and we do need to hit a book store, we may either get sent to a different store or a series of other locations before the "City of Books" opens. Just something worth considering.
Either way, you can count me in. I'll be wearing my Encom badge. Look for the guy with the massive beard

Chances being the we will split up to cover more ground how big should the ground teams be? I'm thinking teams of two each.

I got to hollywood lanes and to the locker just as the winner pulled the dark knight ball out of the locker. Good luck to all you in the PDX. I will be running around SF and thinking of how much easier it would be if I knew here as well as I do Portland. Good luck again , Noel

One of us should make a twitter for Wednesday.
Would it be better to be under the control of a net agent or a field agent?

Well, I am in Portland now and my brother will be dropping me off at the diner in the morning. I'm looking forward to seeing a few faces there. I'll have my cell and contact info for a couple of players who won't be there in person at that point.

I don't think we'll have to leave until at least quarter of 8. I think 15 min. is enough to make it at least a few blocks to Powell's. We'll see how many actual warm bodies make it to Fuller's, then decide how fast we need to launch from there.

With you in spirit! Greetings, Programs!
I would have to start working the 6am shift this week! Damnit.
I've been thinking Powell's on Burnside, but hopefully we have people on the ground on the other side of the river as well for the ones over there.
Someone be sure to swing by the old location for the Technical Books store.
And have a barcode scanner app on a smartphone with a camera and Web access. I'm betting if there are stickers like the one in the picture on the Flynn Lives discussion board, there will be barcodes.
I'll help from here if I can, but we get busy in about an hour and a half.
Have fun!
