On my way to an axon the radio played "I hate Mondays" and it seemed fairly apropo. Especially when there was no puzzle to be found. (I hate tuesdays)

Quote:
The silicon chip inside her head
Gets switched to overload
And nobody's gonna go to school today
She's going to make them stay at home
And daddy doesn't understand it
He always said she was as good as gold
And he can see no reason
Cos there are no reasons
What reason do you need to be shown

Thanks, Atrophied. I've been trying to get my music collection up to par, and I'm about there. On that note, I can't say that I enjoy the Rapture.

Really, be sure to check out my music page. If you like new music, download it. Download it anyway; it's free.

In light of recent events it seems that "Bring me to life" by Evanescence would be rather apropriate for SP

And not a single person has mentioned Rimsky-Korsakov in all of this?

Don't ask me exactly how the song popped into my head, I was working on some web stuff, and the only sound in the room is from the fan and the odd car now and then on the street. But can anyone else confirm this being a bit odd when looked at in terms of ILB?

Oh, and possibly trout, so just in case... Trout

Comfortably Numb, Pink Floyd
-----
Hello.
Is there anybody in there?
Just nod if you can hear me.
Is there anyone home?

Come on, now.
I hear you're feeling down.
Well I can ease your pain,
Get you on your feet again.

Relax.
I need some information first.
Just the basic facts:
Can you show me where it hurts?

There is no pain, you are receding.
A distant ship's smoke on the horizon.
You are only coming through in waves.
Your lips move but I can't hear what you're sayin'.
When I was a child I had a fever.
My hands felt just like two balloons.
Now I got that feeling once again.
I can't explain, you would not understand.
This is not how I am.
I have become comfortably numb.

Ok.
Just a little pinprick. [ping]
There'll be no more --aaaaaahhhhh!
But you may feel a little sick.

Can you stand up?
I do believe it's working. good.
That'll keep you going for the show.
Come on it's time to go.

There is no pain, you are receding.
A distant ship's smoke on the horizon.
You are only coming through in waves.
Your lips move but I can't hear what you're sayin'.
When I was a child I caught a fleeting glimpse,
Out of the corner of my eye.
I turned to look but it was gone.
I cannot put my finger on it now.
The child is grown, the dream is gone.
I have become comfortably numb. Trout

As I suggested in my earlier thread (which was linked somewhere in this one), I have three suggestions for an overall Haunted Apiary theme:

Flight of the Bumblebee (I believe that's Rimmsky-Korsakoff right there Razz )
The X-Files theme
The Cruxshadows - Satellite (from their album Telemetry of a Fallen Angel)

Others I'd suggest (for incidents in the game) -

Queen - Another One Bites The Dust (SPDR killing the rogue security process / Flea killing SPDR)

Doctor Who TVM Soundtrack - Timing Malfunction / The Cruxshadows - Cruelty (Melissa's capture of the Sleeping Princess)

Scott Joplin - Solace / DJ Disturbed - Composition In Q* (Flea's search for the Princess)

Reel Big Fish - Somebody Hates Me (The SP Army's backlash against Lt. Weephun)

The Mighty Mighty Bosstones - The Impression That I Get / Wolfe Tones - Some Say The Devil Is Dead (The SP Army's attempts to contact the Flea and tell him we're here to help)

*-This rendition of Composition In Q (from the game TYRIAN) can be found on OverClocked ReMix. (SHAMELESS PLUG ALERT)

Well, given We have her number now, I think Fountains of Wane - Hung up on you is remarkably apropo.

iTunes Preview:
Hung Up On You

Lyrics
While I down Kentucky bourbon
I am waiting for a call
And the moon and stars tonight
Are playing shadows on the wall

With the moon the way it is, dear
Would you answer out of spite
Or are you feeling lonely tonight

Cause I remember last time
We were out under the stars
Driving crooked down the highway
Drinking beer in roadside bars

And now and then I wonder
Why this painful memory
Can never find its way to you from me

And I can't dial the phone just now
Even though I know your number
Can't bring my broken heart to be untrue
Like you did today
You'll say goodbye the same old way
Ever since you hung up on me
I'm hung up on you

Well the house I'm ringing up from
Is a half a mile from you
But with the reception I'm getting
Might as well be Timbuktu

And behind the door of your home
Is a strange and foreign land
Where you speak a language I don't understand

And I can't dial the phone just now
Even though I know your number
Can't bring my broken heart to be untrue
Like you did today
You'll say goodbye the same old way
Ever since you hung up on me
I'm hung up on you

Now I'm going down to Jimmy's bar
Like a thousand other times
With an appetite for poison
And a suitcase full of dimes

And I'll wait there by the payphone
With one hundred other guys
With those sorry hung-up teardrops in our eyes

And I can't dial the phone just now
Even though I know your number
Can't bring my broken heart to be untrue
Like you did today
You'll say goodbye the same old way
Ever since you hung up on me
I'm hung up on you

Yaz, "Bad Connection"
Quote:
Morning this morning the curtains are shut
I'll ring you in the morning but the phone's been cut
Can you hear me
I've been calling all day
Can you hear me
The radio reporter said the line's all dead
He told me that I oughta write a letter instead
Can you hear me
I've been calling all day
Can you hear me

I'd wish they'd fix the wires 'cause my baby don't know
That I'm leaving in the morning and I'm ready to go
Can you hear me
Can you hear me at all
Gotta get the operator make a telephone call

And if I write a letter it won't get there on time
I'll only reach you baby on the telephone line
Can you hear me
I've been calling all day
Can you hear me
My car's already and my bags are all packed
I'm late already and I won't be back
Can you hear me
I've been calling you all day
Can you hear me

I'd wish they'd fix the wires 'cause my baby don't know
That I'm leaving this morning and I'm ready to go
Can you hear me
Can you hear me at all
Gotta get the operator make a telephone call

Ooo can you hear me

Hee.
