Strange. I've had the forums open all morning and up until about half an hour ago, the latest thread I had seen was the one titled, "DISCOVERY!!!". Are those other two threads not new?

My bad. You're right.

And your idea about the "pulse" we create being the page is BRILLIANT.

That would be beyond awesome if that is where this is all headed! I started thinking about it the other day when all this talk about the linking of multiple computers for a combined task started.

I'm glad it wasn't my computer after all, lol. Last I need.

Reading the discussion forum slowly... dude, you are totally right about the page. If that's NOT what they mean, it sure looks like it. Each city is one of Flynn's "workstations", and it will take all of us to "create the desired supersurge" (unlocking the 16 cities), which then sends the "collect call"... well, it sounds nice anyway.

Although it seems kind of anticlimatic if that's all we're going to do; unlock and watch it go.

Well it could unlock something in the other websites we regularly use, leading to another puzzle.

Yeah, that sounds plausible, maybe 'Helloflynn' will be the conduit of the supersurge??

I'm tellin' ya... after reading the new thread on the Flynn Lives Discussion Forums (http://www.flynnlives.com/discussionforums/post.aspx?id=61) I think we are the ones responsible for sending Alan the page that gets the whole thing rolling!

I'll pewp if that is the case.

OR, the side attack we are generating connects with Flynn and helps him figure out how to send the page to Bradley.

I dunno. I'm holding out for another puzzle. The site has been pretty adamant about needing us "online", and there does seem to be some kind of puzzle in the packages. Makes sense we'll need them all to be online to solve it.

Of course, that requires the people who get the packages in all 16 cities to come here and participate, which is kind of a gamble, but they link this Forum a lot on FlynnLives, so hopefully everyone who has a book will be directed here to put up the information from their grille.

Makes sense, then all 16 finders input info from the core puzzle, then the supersurge happens and hopes maybe a slew of related sites that will pertain to the 'internet puzzle'... Razz man, all this stuff is giving my 'pocket protector' a stiffie...Razz

What's the significance of the Dumont Shipping envelope?

There's a barcode on the envelope - anyone tried finding out what the barcode is?

I dimly recall someone in here suggesting that before... I like it in theory, but my problem is that I find it hard to believe that the movie itself would leave such a huge plot point completely unexplained (for the gazillions of moviegoers who didn't participate in "Flynn Lives").

In the "Tron Night" footage, Kevin Flynn did seem a bit uncertain (for lack of a better word) when Sam mentioned the page to him. It could be because the page actually came from us, but there are a couple of possible alternative explanations. First, although the page was only "two days ago" for Alan and Sam, it could have been hundreds of years for Kevin inside that computer. Second -- and my personal theory -- is that the page actually came from Clu, deliberately trying to lure in someone from the outside. "Your move, Flynn! Come on!"

All the cities on the digital pulse page are the same as the book tour stops. Only correlation I'm aware of.

Hmm...maybe just part of the 'collectible aspect' of the Endgame package OR Razz maybe Dumont Shipping needs some donations...it is after all a 'economically trying time' for us all Razz

The people here seriously kick ass at this stuff, I really wish I'd been here from the start instead of thinking you were supposed to do these campaigns by yourself. Razz

I agree with criticisms of the page theory, and I'd thought about them too... Flynn's getting a little senile what with being in the digital world for so long, etc, BUT it's such a cool idea we should stick with it for a little while at least.

And I do hope there is more puzzling to be done, it's been such an impressive ARG over all that I'd like to see it go out with a worthy bang.
