Soft enamel pins are about $2.65 per pin minimum order of 100. They do look nice though.

does that include the setup? and also do they require a minimum order of 100 per design? cause if so, you'd be sitting on 3000 pins. yikes! essentially being forced to purchase 100 sets at a minimum? sounds expensive to whoever's hawking them

Sorry that I should have stated that I was just talking about having a pin made for the one design for Unfiction for all of us not for all the badges.

Looks like set up is free. This is a quote from the AllAboutPins website:

"Every Order Of Custom Lapel Pins Includes:

* FREE artwork and design w/ unlimited revisions
* FREE full-color proof delivered via email
* FREE Colors - up to 7 colors at no additional charge
* FREE Shipping - delivered via UPS or FedEx air service
* FAST Production - ready to ship in 10 days or less"

Heh... anyone who wants to fiddle with the design is welcome to. Unfortunately, I think I only saved the .gif version (stupid, stupid), but could possibly re-create it in AI later if necessary...

I might also toy with other designs while at work today, if people are interested. I like the idea of including perhaps a small ring of text around the edges. Something like (July 2009 - Dec 2010 Tron Legacy ARG "Flynn Lives" Unfiction team badge)

I agree! I like the idea of having a team pin, and I think your image looks great.

I converted the design to AI but I am trying to work out color separations to reduce colors with out compromising quality and look. I will post the link to the file once it is complete and approved by emeraldbeacon. I will also be trying to get this setup as a t-shirt design along with shaved_ape's design and my own. The number of people who want each design will determine if they get made and the price. Once ready I will setup a new topic to get a count for each shirt.

Nice looking. It may work, somewhat cheaper then other people when we get 100 printed. Unfortunately I didnt think we would need 100 of each pin - I will ask them also if they can split the price up since we will need like 2 dozen different pins made up. I've ask one other company the same thing so far. They should get back to me today.

I will post more when I know more.

Does anyone actually think if 100 sets of badges were made up that they would all be purchased? I guess if I get stuck with a bunch of pin sets I can sell them on eBay and we can toss those profits to Bit sets or those sweet Bit shirts a bunch of us wanted.

I figured when I can get a finished from some companies I would include the Unfiction one also. We all want these 1 inch right. If anyone had any ideas or if IGNORANCE doesnt want me doing this with his designs, let me know. EmeraldBeacon seems down.

I know one thing these will be a lot more then the buttons IGNORANCE is making up. So I'm planning on getting one of his sets before I get this one probably. If we are lucky we may be able to get each button down to close to a dollar a piece.

While I am a supporter of the Pin idea. I would like to wait until IGNORANCE weighs in. This is his project that he has been spearheading and doing the work for. Also they are his clean ups of the designs. I just don't want to see less people wanting the badges that IGNORANCE has been working on and switching to pins. While I doubt there will be any significant profit from this, any possible profits belong to him.

Agreed. I wasnt even think about doing these until afterwards. And also why I asked in a post earlier today if he has a problem to let me know. Im just working on stuff now so we have an idea of what it will all be and so we dont have to do it all later. It will be a while but I like to be prepared.

Oh and at the moment we have to have 100 of each pin made sooooo, this may not work unless people want to buy multiple sets each. If theres 25 pins at (lets hope) $1.50 each, thats $3,750 for the entire job and $37.50 a set plus shipping.
