Here's the meta recursive shot, me shooting the group while the Dumont courier takes a shot of sporkbot.

Its a nice group shot, right before sporkbot ends up getting another call and takes off like a shot again. Did I mention sporkbot can RUN?

Taking a quick break from my game (CoH). Great pics and tales of how everything went down yesterday. I had a lot of fun and was glad I could join in. Hee hee I look very short compared to all of you.

Well I have news about my going to the free show on Monday. I am not. I forgot it was my son's Cub Scout meeting. I signed myself and my dad up to help out on projects in the Pack so I have to be a responsible parent and go. I hope you all have a great time at the movie. If there is free stuff snag some for me.

I am hoping to see the movie next Saturday or Sunday, early morning in IMAX, I know its probably wishful thinking on my part. I also recommend buying tickets for Regal Cinemas at Costco. It staves off part of the cost of donating your liver to the cause. Wink

Is anyone else from the Portland area (or even a bit beyond) planning on getting to the Monday screening or perhaps the midnight premiere? I know sporkbot is planning to go to a premiere, but not in 3D. If we've got people planning for either, I'll start a screening thread for Portland (for both events).

I'm planning on going to the free screening tomorrow night, hopefully will be there around 4:30pm to try to get a jump on the line. Anyone else going? So far in our party it'll be me, Jack, my roommate and my girlfriend (who wasn't able to join us for the live event).

As it turned out I've got tomorrow off and plan to get there in hopes of getting a seat. (I also have Thurs. off, and a late shift Friday, so I can do the premiere too!)

I'm not too familiar with where this is going to be, so I plan to leave quite early to allow for errors on the journey. If it doesn't look like there's too many people camped out, I'll find someplace nearby to chill and I can try to catch up with you folks at 4:30.

So what about Flying Monkey?

Heya mate. Sadly, I'm not going to be able to make it to the screening. I've got another appointment that was scheduled for 7pm tonight, so it looks like I'll be waiting until Friday to see this flick! Enjoy the film and hoist a pint for me!

Hey all, wanted to put up a quick post for those going to the free screening in Portland tonight. Our very own Euchre just left me a message saying that he's at the theater now and that there isn't a crowd yet. He did say that the PR folks haven't shown up yet and that the theater doesn't know much about the screening... only that it is first come, first served.

There ya go. Wish I could make it and join you guys tonight. Sadly, I'll be on the west side until after the movie starts. Hopefully Team Portland will connect again soon!

How was the screening?

Did ours have any give away stuff?

Who all went to it?

Inquiring minds want to know Smile

There was indeed swag to be had. You've seen it already - the Flynn Lives pins. There wasn't a full theater and there were extras, so they were tossing some extras out before the screening. I know at least one of our operatives here got some even after the screening. I know we talked about some sharing, so we'll be counting up and seeing how we can do some of that.

I caught up with VenarThompson and Jack from the Second Squad. There were a pretty fair number of Encom badges and some pins being worn around, so there were other FL members for sure. I actually sat by lothlarien, which I wasn't aware I was until after we were seated awaiting the previews.

I am impressed with the film, and will see it again. I should be able to do a midnight showing (12AM Friday, basically 'Thurs. night'), but I don't know if anyone is trying to assemble a group anywhere. I'll do more of a review in one of the other threads, to avoid spoilers where they might not be obvious.

I will say there are names and faces you haven't yet heard about, but you will know and understand.

Just a quick question. Its been a bit since we did the event, and I haven't heard anything past an earlier post about the contents of the package. I've tried getting ahold of sporkbot on here, but haven't heard back. Did a meetup happen at some point? I was just looking to get one of the instruction pages from the manual, mainly because I'm putting together a display of the various swag from the ARG, and I think it would go well with everything else.

Any ideas? I tried contacting nerves, after consulting euchre, but no word back.

Thanks!
