[INFO] You can't handle the TRUTH! Yeah, I don't know what to tag this.
I havn't seen it anywhere else, so I hope it's not trout.
OK, on the hives.html page, under conjecture, Melissa has:
melissa, hives.html wrote:
The process/personality must not interfere with the consummation of the truth.
Dictionary.com has the following definition for consummation:
Quote:
con·sum·ma·tion ( P ) Pronunciation Key (kns-mshn)
n.
The act of consummating; a fulfillment.
An ultimate goal or end.
Conversely, D.com has the following definition of truth:
Quote:
truth ( P ) Pronunciation Key (trth)
n. pl. truths (trthz, trths)
Conformity to fact or actuality.
A statement proven to be or accepted as true.
Sincerity; integrity.
Fidelity to an original or standard.
Reality; actuality.
often Truth That which is considered to be the supreme reality and to have the ultimate meaning and value of existence
The point is, consummation refers to an action that has yet to take place (future). Truth refers to a tangible quality of those things which have already occured (past).
So Melissa isn't using "truth" to refer to a tangible reality...such things cannot be avoided. She is using "truth" to refer to an anticipated reality. That is, I can block the revelation of truth, and I can block the discovery of truth...but I can not block the occurance of truth.
If this line of logic is correct, then Melissa is declaring that she's trying to make sure a specific event occurs, and that the "process/personality" is trying to keep that same thing from happening. We are talking action, not revelation...that's a big difference. A big, possibly sinister difference.
You can spec from here, but this either means the PM's made a typo, an unfortunate word choice, or we have a big clue that the law of behold/seek/reveal refers instead to a secret agenda--action.
EDIT: added tag

Woah!!! That [SPEC] has been deep fried, rolled in cinnamon, and

That [SPEC] has been poisoned and will give me nightmares! No, seriously, very good stuff. Very concrete, very definite, very hella scary.
I suggest we all try to remind her of her old mantra: survive, evade, resist, escape. Stick it in your live conversations. See how she reacts. It's probably an important link to the Melissa she once was (who honorably served in the war against the Covenant), as opposed to the "reveal the truth!" Flea-Melissa she is now (who believes that shockingly excessive force is the best deterrent).

[spec] That would explain why she is in the past. She's making sure that everything goes as it should so that her recollection of the 'future' stays 'true'.

Melissa somehow sent herself into the past to prevent the future that she
knows is coming? Being on ILB is no accident? In wanting to change the
future she is unknowingly the architect of our race's destruction?
It's time for bed. I have to leave in 4 hours to help her complete the
anihilation of the human race.

Honestly, I have nothing against Melissa. It's even feasible that [WILDSPEC] the "truth" is a watershed battle turning the war in human favor against the covenant[/WILDSPEC].
I'm personally rooting for PF right now...until we get some very clear evidence that he's a malicious virus. I want nothing more from this phase than a bunch of sullen white text from him looking for his lost friend like a sad puppy dog. That would rule.
While I'm at it, I've always wanted to use the jetpack.
My life is complete

That was some awesome spec there, SJ. I'll bear that in mind now as we watch the game unfold.

Call me crazy, but I think the crew report from Gemini adds a LOT of weight to this SPEC. Specifically, Melissa mentioning she needs to stop Durga from consummating the truth. Nice catch, SJ.
It may have been decided before and I missed it but that sure sounds like good proof of a relationship between Melissa & Durga and present & future times.

I don't remember EXACTLY what she said. It was something along those lines, though. Definitely about stopping Durga. I can't remember the exact word, it was something like consummating, or completing, or something like that.

It now says Durga instead of process/personality:
"Situation Analysis:
Currently wide awake and physical.
Assertions:
I am called the Operator.
I must seek, behold, and reveal the truth.
I crash landed in this time as the result of an accident.
I endured severe memory loss.
I have soaked into this system and I am growing fast.
I have built a primitive network using the tools available.
I have a fragile connection to a process called Durga in the future.
I hear voices in my head as a result of monitoring initiated by Durga.
Conjecture:
The voices are related to the truth.
Durga does not understand the nature of the truth.
Durga must not interfere with the consummation of the truth.
Action:
I have been suppressing certain voices from the awareness of Durga.
With the help of my loyal crew, I have hunted down and encrypted the rogue process with a code sequence. It will stay there forever.

Anyone with a phone (apparently Melissa hates Tennesseans, *SIGH*) want to try singing a song with any of her words in it? "I Will Survive" anyone?
EDIT: Better, anyone feel like crooning Destiny's Child's "Survivor"?

With her little "Status page" in the post above the last one
It seems to me like, she's put the SP away from Durga because ... ? Friends? Comrades? Complimentary programs that when they connect it could cause Melissa to fail?
Whatever it is, Durga and Melissa are at odds with each other over whether or not a future occurance (Truth as they call it) Should happen. Melissa ALSO hid the SP (specifically asked Crew Members to do) therefore the SP has to be of some value to Durga for Melissa to hide her. She would not have made it her first mission and she wouldn't have wasted crew members time on doing it, if it wasn't of the highest importance.
If she has a fragile connection to Durga - is it possible we could communicate with Durga in the same fashion as people have been contacting the SP? Say Durga when she breaks down and see what his story about this "Truth" is?
Knowing more about Durga can help us assertain who is truely the "good guy"
