 [UPDATE] [STIES] New Printout

Seems to be a printout update. Josh is aware of the files mysterio is posting. He recognized TROGL being from the badges. The word binder is circled in the listing. December 16th at 8:03 p.m. we'll have a new chat conversation.

Also, Rocket Poppeteers Dot Com doesn't load the flash file anymore. Just the engine noise with no theme song. Weird.

Unfortunately, this file is no longer in our archives.

OK, so the book is Moby Dick (appropriate) and binder is circled. Can you make out the word that seems partially blacked out?

As talked about before

Not mentioned before... here's a link to the full Classics Illustrated #5 Moby Dick.

Seems that lots of kids stole these popular comics from the library.

If we knew Josh stayed in the same town of his childhood, we might have been able to track down the library he stole Moby Dick from.

Wishful thinking ^_^

So here in josh blog he claims to have stolen it but he tells Mysertio that a book club sent it to him as a kid. Oh and btw the quote was taken from the www.hooklineandminker.com topic thread for reference.

OK, so perhaps TROGL was his father?
Somebody (perhaps mother) tried to communicate with Josh, in very inconventional way?

I guess the password is the same. If he loved Moby Dick so much could it be a book that maybe his father did pass to him without knowing? Sorry, meant pw maybe Binder not toadfish112.

I wondered about the password being the same for each chat, too.

The last time Mysterio designated the password so ... Question

We see someone's (I'm assuming Josh's) thumb in the pic also.

It's the print documents behind the PDP-11 Sim screen.

OK. So, creeping along, Josh has to wait another week before he can get a simple answer to something..

"Oh Waiter... Double-Scotch neat please.."

It's backbone.

Here's the binder offer from the link in Lelouch's earlier post from ladywyntir.

and here's the link again:

Nice thingy.

Not from the states here. Does any GI around here know the answer to the question on that right page? Guess we could google it but maybe some of you learned it at school? May be some clue.

D'oh... just got it... Smile. Frank Buck?

Might TROGL stand for "Things retrieved on...." or "Things retrieved at original...". Just throwing it out.
Edit: scratch that last thought. Wouldn't make much sense if he stole it from the library as a kid.

From his thumb I'd say he has something to do with paint. black or dark- blue paint. He may be a printer, hence the "allergy" to paper.

Yes, Frank Buck. He used to have these short documentaries I can remember seeing on late night TV. Not very politically correct today, but I recall one where some large snake, perhaps an anaconda had got into a pig enclosure and engorged the pig and could then not get through the holding area. The docs were pretty interesting for a young duffer seeing natives, wild animals, "Bring 'Em Back Alive" was the motto.

Regarding the Moby Dick book, it could be that:
1. Simplicityjones may very well be right about a change in password, but Mysterio would have to catch onto it, whereas Mysterio dropped the clue before for the password.
2. If Josh's dad was secretly keeping in touch with his wife, and she conveyed to him that 'Moby Dick" was one of Josh's favorite books, (and assuming that Josh did not admit to his mom that he had lifted a copy from the library) it's likely that the missing father sent Josh a copy of "Moby Dick." If we are to believe that Josh is honest, that would seem reasonable why there would be two copies in his possession?
3. Also, it would seem likely that Josh is right-handed.
