SF Screening meetup Monday Dec 13th

As we know it's a public screening and first come first serve, those that are going might want to post that they're going and maybe whoever gets there first can hold our place in line?

I'm hoping I have that Monday off. If I do, you can bet I will be there around noon or so. If we can get a nice little group up there around that time, we shouldn't get too many dirty looks from the other people that show up later.

I'll check tomorrow at work, and I'll update you guys.

Note: May want to add the date for the pre-screening in the title of the thread to seperate it from the other meetup.

I might have some finals to work on that day, but i'll check with my girlfriend to see when we can show up. If you get there at noon and the line is getting long/no one else has showed up feel free to post here and let us know that we need emergency backup

Will do. I hope someone posts one of the many group photos that were taken today. I'm bad with names, so it would help putting a face to forum names and real names.

Sorry to double post, but I wanted to bump this thread for all the Bay Area folks.

I checked my schedule and I do have Monday off, so I will be making my way to the city early. I was thinking about maybe heading out there sometime between 12-2pm. Anyone interested in meeting up, possibly grabbing some grub, and then seeing if we can line up before 5pm?

Well I definitely won't be going at noon... school is about 30 min away, and i get out at 3.

Also in addition to that, I'm dependent on certain things to line up so that i can go (transportation, hw, etc) ... so at this point it's 50/50. And also... norelco would work better but at this point I dunno if i can get tickets.

If I do go though, i'll attempt to get there ASAP, which might be from 4-5. Hopefully 4 ish. ...I'll be wearing an encom badge, and maybe bringing maybe 2-4 friends who hopefully dont forget to wear their stuff. Holding a spot would be great...

Hope to see you all there.

I'll be wearing the same kind of outfit as i wore on the day of the hunt; black peacoat, skinny jeans, glasses.

I think I shall drive down again and meet up also. The more of us that can gat there early, the better for those that that can't(ie. hold places. power in numbers right?)

I have posted the is else where but:

I am unsure if I will come, it's tough for me to get in the city, and without a guaranteed seat, and no Imax. I'm not sure if it is worth it. I already bought midnite tickets for the IMAX on the 16th , and I won vouchers for the Norelco screening on the 15th, which I am unsure if it is IMAX, I just called and so are they :p, but with limited vouchers, my chances are better. Honestly I feel my chance for the best movie watching experience is to wait until the 16th, I just don't wanna miss any cool events, or swag. :/

Well, I'm certainly going to do my best to be there. I'm not sure what time I'm going to show up, though. I live downtown, so I might just check the Metreon a couple of times through out the day to get a good idea of what to expect.

Gaz, did you say the screening is *not* in IMAX? It doesn't matter too much to me one way or another, but I'm surprised to hear it's not. The Dark Knight screening was, don't see why this one wouldn't be.

I did say that. Athough looking at the electrify page, it doesn't say either way someone else said it, and I took them at their word. Though, I don't know where their info came from. I did call the same theater about the 15th and they couldn't tell me if it was IMAX or not...I guess "It might be, or probably will be IMAX", might be more correct, but it is not definite.

Normally, I wouldn't care, but for certain big effects wide landscape sort of movies it really does make a difference, (Avatar, Revenge of the Sith, ect..)

ON the electrify page it says RealD as the sponsor on the left side of the page if you scroll down, so people are assuming the electrify screenings are in regular Real D, and it apparently is as some cities are having Norelco and FL screenings on the same day, so it's unlikely both are in Imax.

for Norelco...the icon clearly says free IMAX 3D screening tickets.
