 		Well, originally Slenderman did go after children. It might be a reference to that.

Also, the field in the first picture is really freaking me out. I really hope it's one of the areas they use.

Gah...thank god I got out of that phase when I realized how retarded it was after reading the horrible fanfics (I was 18/19 at the time, it was SAD).

I'm so glad I got out of fanfiction (at least, for public consumption) after my first one got picked up by a website. It was terrible from what I recall.

I've come to the realization that about 6% of fanfiction is readable, and the rest is all godawful. I write it more for a way to relax or practice/ play with techniques than anything. The same as drawing fanart; sometimes you just want to draw or write for the sake of writing and not worry about making it into a masterpiece. The only reason I publish anything online is usually to share it with close friends who live far away.

I've also realized that I usually hate the majority of most fandoms for BEING fantards. The MH fandom is a little better than most things I like, but there's still that percentage that's just.... so.... ugh.

See, I find that a bit offensive. I write fanfics, but I'm not a total fantard. It's a way to put my talents to use, and it's fun. (No, I don't write slash unless it's SRS BZNS, and I tend not to be a troll when I write.)

See, I know not ALL fanfiction writers are fantards! I know several for some of my favorite fandoms that are really good and put a lot into what they do, both as slash writers and those who don't write slash. It's just that those authors are the MINORITY in fanfiction. It's gotten to the point where i have to sift through a LOT of mary sue fics or terribly OOC stuff or just plain porn to find anyone who writes well and isn't trying to troll.

I really wasn't meaning to be offensive. I'm like you, I write fanfiction too. That's why I'm so disappointed in most of the community surrounding fanfiction.

Having just found a slash fic of myself and a certain tentacled entity I fully commend people who aren't trolling with their writing. But I have to agree with the 6% being good and the rest making you want to smash your head into a lightpole.
