I had no idea that you guys couldn't go on the site without signing up. My bad. Here's what the page said in case anyone is actually interested.

"This is day 1 of investigation. I've decided to place all entries of the investigation journal onto this site. I want people to know the truth. I need people to know the truth. But I can't make it too public. The police will be suspicious. It has to be somewhere small.

I'm afraid I can't tell you my name. It would be safer to remain anonymous, you know, just in case something bad happens. I don't want anyone involved, I just need people to know. What I could tell you is the following: I live in Sacramento, California, which is otherwise known as The City of Trees to others. I live with my brother, who will also remain nameless throughout the course of these entries, I was once married, but my wife passed away during childbirth, and I've taken care of my daughter, Eliza, ever since.

Therein lies our problem.

Last week, Eliza went missing. It was during a birthday party she attended. I remember the last time I saw her. I dropped her off at her friend's house for the party, she gave me a sweet little kiss in the cheek, and walked inside.

And I never saw her again. She was only 5 years old. I could've gone with her but...I had work to do, papers to file, buttons to press, calls to make, money to be earned so I could buy her that tricycle with the sparkles that she always wanted.

At first, it seemed like a very typical missing persons case. There was one piece of evidence: Eliza's party hat, with it's elastic string broken in half. The mother of Eliza's friend with the birthday, Josephine, said that she saw her quite a lot playing tag and hide and seek, and she honestly had no idea that she was gone until asked of her presence. I asked Eliza's friends, good kids, and they told me and the police that when they last saw her, she was acting very bizarre.

Did Eliza know she was being followed? Kids aren't stupid. Sometimes, they are able to know things that adults couldn't even comprehend. From what they described, she was shaken by something before she was gone. The police don't find them to be a good lead. I think there might be something more to this. I don't want to waste any more time. There's a good chance that whoever took Eliza may be keeping her alive. There's also a good chance that my baby girl is dead.

My brother is going to be helping me out, from now on. He's the only one I can trust, he's helped me take care of Elizabeth since my wife passed away. For right now, the police shouldn't be too involved until things get serious, which I hope will not be the case.

The reason why this isn't an ordinary missing persons case anymore, and also the reason why I believe something extraordinary is going on, is that when I interviewed some of Eliza's friends about the events during the birthday party, they all talked about one thing. They all mentioned seeing a man in a business suit. They described him as bald, and said they couldn't see his face, because he kept hiding behind the trees. One kid said that the man didn't have a face to begin with. It sounds strange, and almost improbable, but then something happened.

After I talked with Eliza's friends, it started getting late. I went to bed. And I had this dream. And this wasn't like most other dreams. It was lucid. Most dreams, I only vaguely remember certain details, and forget the whole thing. But in this dream, not only did it feel real, but I remembered every single detail in frightening intricacy. That isn't the strange part however.

In the dream, I was running from...something. It wasn't clear what I was running from, because I just remember the dream instantly beginning with me running in the abandoned dimly-lit streets of Ember Tree Lane from an unknown force, and all I knew was that I was scared out of my mind. As I was running, I fell down, turned around, and a man in a business suit appeared standing in front of me.

I was tense, but I knew it was just a dream. Those kids' stories were giving me the creeps. I had to drive to work, for my sake, to keep my mind on something else. As I was driving, however, I saw a roadblock. It was the police.

They were investigating the murder of a man. There was a gaping hole on his stomach grisly revealing his innards. It was a very clean-cut hole; looked almost like a tube sucked all the skin out. He was lying on the sidewalk, on Ember Tree Lane. Just like my dream. The man's name was Randy Tiersan, he was a father just like me. Not only that, but he had twins, a boy and a girl, who were both part of a missing persons case. Then, just to put the icing on the cake, the witnesses have testified seeing a man in a business suit in the area, the night of the murder.

There is no way this could be a coincidence.

I am going to get to the bottom of this. If any of you readers are in Sacramento, I only ask that you do not get involved unless I ask for help. This is something only I must do."
