Honestly, I thought it'd be awesome. I wanted to be included. I wanted first-hand information. I wanted to participate in a way not everyone was going to.

So you decided to project your motivations onto everybody else. Nice. Very Happy

DEAR THREAD,
I'M SORRY FOR BEING AN ASSHOLE.
I THINK MORE PEOPLE THINK LIKE ME THAN DO. FORGIVE ME, AND CONTINUE WITH YOUR EPILEPTIC TREES.
SINCERELY,

I think everyone entered for their own unique reasons, but lulz it's okay. .3.
Also, so a kid just came into where I work, wearing a very nice suit. This is a child, mind you. An ittybitty little child.
Still gave me the heebeejeebies.

I entered mostly because my email killed my dreams of getting a wristband and I had the chance. I never do this kinda stuff. I'll admit to being pretty stoked to be in.
Whatever our motivations though, I don't think anyone besides Alex has said they wanted to win. Even the other guys seemed to have entered mostly just to get more info.

I don't think you're an asshole though Dixie

Yeah and I don't know how well that's going so far. It probably was just as stupid of them as Alex, even factoring their reasoning (which surely is probably the only legit reasoning), and furthermore just as stupid as us.

Thank you guys. Haha.

But, really, Alex wanting to win doesn't seem that much different from anyone else's motivations. If you entered for fun -- well, winning is fun, right? I don't think it's really that strange or anything. He's being a rebellious teenager -- almost everyone goes through that phase.

Conclusion: We're all rather dumb.

I agree that Dixie is not an asshole.

Also, I joined cause i had the opportunity and it sounded fun. I admit that sometimes, for a few seconds, i think "Why the hell did i join this thing ohgod" but then I get over it and wait eagerly for the next trial.

...Though according to all my friends, I joined cause I had nothing left to live for. Lawl.

HAH again that is a pretty general statement. If we're going to make generalizations, the only one we can really make is that we entered because HABIT told us to. This is all a bit more nebulous than that. I mean we don't even know if winning will be fun in this case. I might be that the winner earns an extra slow skinning instead of a rushed one (surely HABIT is always busy with skinnings)...
i.e.- Yes, quitthecarnival. Yes we are.

Well I would have joined to be part of the group and like others, cause I'm selfish. I am totally jealous of you guys so enjoy it as much as possible so I can continue to live vicariously.

Well, here's something to consider.

If HABIT is running this tournament, that means whoever wins will have some sort of direct contact with it. And HABIT is also in contact with Slendy, (quoth "Bumping Shoulders") maybe, just maybe, we'll be able t o come in contact with Slendy, and convince him to leave the crew alone doom ourselves for all eternity.
