I haven't updated this in a while because I put this project aside so I could focus on moving arrangements. Now that most of those have been ironed out, I'm picking this up again.

I've decided against the inclusion of Masked Men, though I won't rule out the possibility of "Hollowed" or "Converted" Slender Man "cultists". These people are similar to Conaghan from Seeking Truth in the sense that they are living people who know of Slender Man and actively help him with whatever he's doing at the time.

The main character isn't a child, he's a fully grown man. I've fleshed out his girlfriend a bit to the point that I've decided she'll be an elementary school teacher. This'll tie into the overarching plot as children in town begin to get sick/vanish/die.

I'm toying with a very Alice in Wonderland style idea of never describing the main characters features. The original Alice in Wonderland never told us what, exactly, Alice looked like. This allows the reader to fill in the blanks for themselves and, at the end of the day, creates a more personal bond between reader and character as they formed the character's looks on their own.

Despite my current notebook being riddled with Operator Symbols, I'm probably not going to include them. The Operator is Marble Hornet's version of the Slender Man, and the Operator Symbol is their work. I'd rather not use that symbol, even if it has become part of the general mythology.

Like Beni from The Mummy?! I like that idea, that if you do his bidding, you are immune. Well as immune as you can be to a faceless, tenticled being with no concept of mercy!

Have you thought about the cause of the car crash? If its winter time, then black ice could be an answer, also that way the freezing cold water could explain drowning and being brought back without too much brain damage other than seeing things. Ok, so that is based on The Abyss and an episode of Andromeda, so how medically sound that is, i don't know!

Anyway, its just ramblings, so don't worry if its not what your after!

The car crash is a direct result of black ice in winter. The brain damage is being caused by the car running off road into a lake/river.

This might be a little late but meh.How about his girlfriend is murdered, organs put in a bag, and found it the forest and that would show him that the hallucinations aren't hallucinations or if you are just having that as the major point...

Hey! I wish I had noticed this sooner. You obviously have a whole conglomerate of people lining up to help you, but I'm going to add myself to the list anyways. If you'd like to talk, bounce ideas, anything, I'm willing to help. I have a bit of an interest in psychology, and psychological conditions, but the few I can think of off the top of my head wouldn't really fit the situation, except for perhaps Charles Bonnet Syndrome. Anyways, best of luck with your writing!
