I'm actually pretty okay about the whole "it's buried and chilling in some woods" thing. I just hope that if someone takes it, they get why I cared about it in the first place. And I hope it doesn't get ruined. It's got a cardboard case. Sad

One of my items on my list was a CD/DVD/novel box set. No way in hell I was going to bury that. Even if I do have the album backed up like three times & the novel is now available in paperback... No. Just, no. You're braver than me.

 		The family situations for all three boys seem very... weird.

Evan: No mention of parents, has a sister.

Vince: No mention of family at all.

Jeff'n'Alex: Contradictory information. The ustream said flat-out that their parents are dead, and the boys are living off insurance (and presumably inheritance) money. But Vinnie refers to calling Jeff's parents in an earlier video, and in both "Alex" and "...." we hear voices of adults in the background during filming at their house.

And Damsel's family was Slenderkilled, and Jessie is related to the infamous Doctor Corenthal. Yeesh.

 		At first I thought that they were just covering up plotholes creatively, but I was watching Alex's videos, and at least in the first one he mentions his parents a lot. He talks about all the things he's not allowed to do because of how his parents reacted to Jeff. But we were never given any indication that anyone's family knew about any of this.

I just rewatched/transcribed "My First Video Chaps!", and yeah, if Alex is delusional, it's a very realistic delusion. If you're imagining that your parents are still alive, I'd think that you'd idealize them, at least a bit. Maybe he's referring to rules Jeff has laid down-- not allowed to go out or whatever-- and projected them onto his imaginary parents.

I've also got an idea involving mass brainwashing, Slendermurder, and possibly time travel/multiple dimensions stewing in my brain, but it's not quite formed yet.

I think someone got it right earlier, don't remember who- but it would just be a lot simpler for the guys to say they called their "parents" instead of "their grandparents" etc when the only reason this came up was someone asked directly and then Evan and Vince said it was better not to mention it to them.

Haha thanks. But I could easily get another copy of the CD honestly. It just has a lot of connections for me. The band's from my town and a lot of the songs deal with things related to the area.

That's what I was thinking. If I was going to imagine my parents were still alive, I'd hope I'd at least make them nice. All those rules sound more like things Jeff would have laid down due to his current situation/fear of having Alex dragged in.

And as for the other voices in the videos, I'm going with the idea it's relatives/people checking in on Jeff and Alex. I mean, Alex is in high school and Jeff's in college. I would hope someone would at least look after them

This is the most logical explanation. But, then again, EMH isn't always logical. Haha.

Even being able to replace an album, that first one's with you through so much before it craps out. I've had to buy four copies of In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3, but I still have the first one, even though it doesn't play. Very Happy And hearing songs about the place your from is always awesome. There was a fairly big Christian band called Philmore from my town that referenced specific streets in their songs, and it was great. Haha.

From what I recall of the ustream, Evan said that they'd passed away a while ago... and if their parents had died sometime during the series, we'd have known about it. You can't lose one parent at that age, much less two, without it completely disrupting your life.

Agh, that would make the whole thing so much more tragic, if Jeff is feeding into his little brother's crazy because it's the only way he knows how to deal, how to make the whole thing manageable...
