Hey Gaz talk to Demon, I think I can clear up spot number #5, I have to talk to someone.

But if you really want #11 then talk to Demon.

#1 is out of the question, that spot does not even go to me or Steve, I am trading someone that for an SDCC disc and I can't move that spot.

#5 is doable but it will take some grease work on my part.

Thanks for the consideration, but, if Demon has a reason for wanting 11 and/or you want your 5, then keep them! If however you guys are not partial to the numbers and we can trade around so I got 11, I would be jazzed of course, I just don't see why my preferences should supersede either of yours.

Gazbot, part of me wanted to know why you wanted 11, but the other part was just still too stoked about being part of this and getting a set of 'answers' to even care why. You can have #11.

We are starting the process of asking you guys which set # you would like.

Steve would like to give those that have paid in full first dibs.
As in, if you have paid yours off in full, then you can say which set you would like.

So far these numbers are taken and spoken for.

#1
#2
#3
#4
#5
#8
#13
#20
#42

Email or pm Steve with your requests for numbers and we will do our best to accomodate you.

Some people have numbers that are significant to them, so we definitely want to help out those people.

Some people will want lower numbers because they think they will be more valuable, but in my opinion all sets are the same, so let's not get into arguments about this.

And if two people are asking for the same number we will have to figure out a system to see who gets what, maybe ro sham bo, or a two man sack race, or something.

But start thinking about what number you want and let Steve know.

pm's sent out.

These are the requests I have received so far.
These are not official, but if there is a number you want, ask and let's see what happens on this list.

I will update it frequently, and this does not mean that it's official because I know there are some of you that want certain numbers and some cases two of you will ask for the same number, this way you can pm each other and talk it out.

REMEMBER, this is NOT official yet, if there is a number you want, ask. We knew this could possibly be a can of worms so we DO hope that everyone gets the numbers that they want.

Go ahead and ask for a number and we will all work it out like adults, so far that hasn't been an argument and we hope there won't be one.

Demongod - #5
Broklynite #6, ? for third set.
CloneTommy - #7
GGemini #10
Gazbot - #11
astrorae - #18
EDGECRUSHER #21
eolith - #29
websteria - #25
JcByrdman - #41 - Last number set available to the public.

Half paid but requests - these will be filled last but just for honorable mention
ASSEMBLY #9
Deadboy619 - #30

Are we gravy now? I not only want you guys to be jazzed about getting one of these anyway, but I want you to be jazzed about what number you are getting.

I was already jazzed, but now I am excitebike jazzed thanks shaved ape, and demongod!

Demongod, the reason I wanted 11, was it represented only positive or negative responses, (in binary), as Bit it self would make, in this case YESYES!

That's what I wanted to hear Very Happy

To me numbers don't matter, Steve and I can make a few for ourselves, but yeah we want to be part of this 42. As far as the numbers go I don't mind getting whatever.

But for you guys, I want you to get what you guys feel is significant to you. I know I can't compensate everyone for what they want I wish I could.

But as long as you guys are happy, I am happy. Be Happy.

Hey guys...stands?

So Steve's guy said they we can do stands a number of ways.

If each of us pitch in $20 which Steve should have emailed each of you, then we might be able to get something like this.

Something similar but this is just something I cooked up real quick.

This is a stand that is a triangle, but it splits up into three sections, but you can display them as a whole or seperately.

But the guy said he thought it would be cool if we could get the stand with the grid on it.

what do you guys think if each of us pitched in another $20?

As far as how they will fit on the stand from a stem we would have to work out.

Looks great, the different heights works nice, and the grid is a nice touch, being able to separate them is (for me), a must. My question is if the majority vote this down for the extra 20, would we receive no stand, or a lesser stand?
Also do we need a majority vote, or is it a situation where anyone who pays the extra 20 gets it, anyone who doesn't does not?

Don't know yet. We found a really cheap solution which are stands for Rubiks cube collectors where Steve is going to send me the link to that website soon.

I think basically we are going to wait for Steve's guy to tell us how much it would be to make these, then we would have to come up with that much money.

I think no matter what there will be a stand, but depending on how elaborate they are, is just a matter of how much we work up.

Me personally I think the best way is to take a piece of clay or foam, and literally stuff the prototypes or masters on to them til they stand on their own, then take molds of those shapes. That would be cheap and easy.

We will see what Steve's guy said. But Steve's guy said that he is going to only charge us cost on this, and he WANTED to do this base. So we should know soon.

Ape, you and Steve have done great work on this, so I was planning on sending you more anyway. I think the stands look great, so I'm for them, and I'm happy to pay at least $20 for them.

Just to confirm, these stands won't require holes drilled in the bits, right?

I didn't get an email about this, but I would be willing to pay an extra $20 for a cool looking stand set.

I told Steve that I DO NOT want holes drilled in the bits, it was actually his guy that suggested this triangle stand after seeing the logo I made.

So with that in mind I don't know exactly how they would fit in there. Hopefully a clear acrylic stick with a conformed base.

DON'T send any extra money just yet, let us find out how much these will cost for 42.

To be honest, this will be an easier mold to make than the "geometric answer" molds and there will only have to be one.

So Steve is going to talk to his guy and we will see how it works out.

I would definitely throw another $20 for stands like that. Again only if holes are NOT drilled in the shapes.

Yeah I would never want holes drilled into these. Finding a way to prop them up is a task in itself.

Any ideas?

I like the triangle stand, but.... I'm pretty strapped for cash right now, so I don't know when I'd be able to send an extra $20 :/

If these aren't going to be going out for a couple of weeks or so, it would be no problem for me, but if it's before then, I'll have to cast my vote as a "no" on the stand ):

I'm willing to throw down another $20, but they'd have to be great stands.

My best idea for support without holes (definitely against the holes, glad to hear others say the same) is to build a cradle for each one so we can hold the bits and show them to folks, and just rest them back on the cradle. It shouldn't be too haard to get a cradle to fit the No bit. The Yes bit could just have one corner of the bit set into the stand so it sit's vertically. The Neutral bit will be the hardest to get to balance without rolling off easily. Maybe something more like a fluted goblet, but instead of a full cup, just have arms that reach around the side? I can sketch something up again if that would help clarify my idea.
