NICE! You reading this 42E? We have a winner!

By the by, you wouldn't happen to have a Gridlock Rendezvous code would you... Wink

Ha, no worries, I was just teasing. I hope something cool comes your way for getting all the badges, that's pretty impressive considering how many there were and the inherent difficulty of getting some of them (travel much?). Folks in LA had the easiest route to getting them all, and it turns out the cool guy in Canada is the one that got it done!

Congrats!

Not that it's an achievement in itself... technically, only real travelers should even be able to get all of'em, otherwise anyone who finds unused event codes can get them. So, while I may technically have them all unlocked, I definitely haven't earned them all...
Gridlock Rendezvous and Operation Tron are the two events I never made it to, I believe.

I'll be first to congratulate anyone who has made it to all events, and they definitely deserve the recognition! Smile

Of course the flip side of that is people who actually went to the various physical locations, but weren't in time and thus didn't get the drops. There's probably no reasonable way for the PMs to monitor everyone who arrives "late" at a location where the experience is tailored to only a certain number of people who get there first. Given the PMs' choice to use a primarily competitive mechanism for these events, I guess it makes sense for the badges also to be a prize only for those who actually arrived in time (and for those upon whom the winners choose to bestow their extra codes, if any), regardless of any effort from others who were there but failed to win the race.

Edit: By the way, I appear to have 25/27 badges, missing Digital Frontier (of course) and Screen Scene. I never even tried for the latter, because I knew I wasn't available for the screening itself and didn't want to fill a spot that someone else could have used. D'oh. On the other hand, while checking which badges I had, I discovered that apparently I had never actually logged into my Encom employee account. Double D'oh. Fortunately it still works!

Yeah, that would also favor USA West Coast folks. I made it to everything except Operation Tron. I have a friend in SF who was able to attend in my stead, so in general, I was out & about for all of them, and I didn't go purchasing any codes. I was late to the wallet stuff, but I stumbled into the "codes work more than once," and that's how I got that one late.

I was really hoping that I'd have gotten the Digital Pulse drop.

I was thinking about this last night. If 42 did want to do something cool...they knew they'd only have to make 16 of something, because with only that amount of that final badge, that's the max they'd have to send out.

Again, jealous as all hell, Bruce, but congrats. Smile

Edit: take it back...I did have a ticket purchased for Pit Cell in Toronto, but I overslept for my crazy early AM flight. I had hoped 42 would give me a pat on the back for trying to catch an international flight for 5 minutes of footage. Oh well...
