[OT] Herzog - Xbox connection

Random thought, not necessarily useful but thought I'd throw it out for consideration.

Herzog is the surname of the officer we heard pretending to be the "Cranky Old Man". He's getting too old for the spy business, and is feeling that he's been passed-by by events and cooped up in a dusty old office.

"Herzog" is a word in German, a title of nobility equivalent to the English "Duke".

The original Xbox controller was nicknamed the "Duke". It is no longer manufactured, and if it could speak would probably feel passed-by by events. The Dukes remaining are probably past their primes, and many must be gather dust in backrooms or storage areas right now.

It's always fun to see the Name Game in action. Very Happy

-- Steve doesn't think this'll rock the ARG, but it's fun, isn't it?

The Duke is totally underrated. I use my Controller S most of the time (because it's a neato translucent green!) but I still break out the big boy occasionally.

Jeez, the last part of that sentence sounds completely inappropriate.

I only use the "Duke" controller. The Controller S is too small for my hands. Twisted Evil

I'm a duke too... I crumbled and kept the green controller S w/the LE green xbox, but only because a couple of my friends own and prefer that one when they're over playing... *sigh*

Same thing for me. That's one of the things that originally prompted me to get an Xbox.

And thanks for that cool find Anton. Very Happy

I didn't know it was called "the Duke." You learn something new every day...

Funnily enough, though, I use my Big-C exclusivly for Halo. It just feels right.
