WOW, when you guys get an idea, there's no stopping you is there? Very Happy

Well, you guys have to keep in mind, etched pins are veeeery expensive, and if we have to order a minimum of 100 pins per badge, it ain't gonna happen. The reason buttons are being made, is because they are cheap! $10 for a set VS $30.

If you guys can figure out a way to make the pins work, then go ahead! Thats why I'm re-making the badges, so we can do something like this! You can count me in if you need any help whatsoever if you can get the project moving, but i'm going to stay working on the buttons if you dont mind Wink

While I would pay 40 bucks for it, I don't think you will get 100 people on here to do it. If there was a way to do it where you did not have to order 100 of each pin I think that would be a more viable option.

Exactly. This seems to be a big problem. I'd like to wait till the final buttons are made up. This way we can wait for the final images from IGNORANCE (I feel like Im yelling his name) and maybe we can hunt down a company that will let us do this without making 100 of each pin. So far the two I'm in contact with only do 100 of each. I'm looking though.

I'm in for whatever is decided. Just want a set to commemorate the experience! This is much more in my price range than steve & ape's Bi... sorry... Geometric Answers. (Not that I wouldn't love a set of those as well eventually!)

I converted emeraldbeacon's file to vector. Except the unfiction text with the gradient. I eliminated it from the vector because of the range of colors. If I have a chance I will try and add it back in.

here is the source:
http://fashionneverfunction.com/tShirts/unfictionConverted.ai

It also may not translate well on a t-shirt with the gradient. I am going to be working with my screen printer friend to optimize it with the text and add the ARG dates in to get an idea on shirt prices and how many would need to be ordered to keep the cost low. Aiming for $7-10 plus shipping.

If you need any vectored button designs, I'd be willing to do some- I'm pretty good with Illustrator... I can start with the Digital Frontier badge, since I have the book I can directly scan and vectorize.

I'd be willing to spring for pins, but not for a little while.

Yeah, go ahead! And if you could, maybe send me a large scan of the cover too please! Very Happy

So on the subject of those pins. They are too much. Unless we sell 100 sets and I dont think we will. BUT - how about we just do a pin for the UnFiction Badge (I think emeraldbeacon came up with - if Im wrong sorry)? They shouldnt cost more then $2-3 plus shipping each. Let me know and Ill see ya at the screening.

Hell Ya!! Having OUR own pin is an awesome idea. I love emeraldbeacon's design. It would look great on the lanyard to my Encom badge with the rest of my FL pins...

It's a good idea in theory, but it would still require at least 100 people to pay for a full set, and we are still at a mere 60ish.

Also, of that 60ish, i'm sure there are plenty of people who would rather not pay the extra $2 required, such as those who aren't part of "team unfiction"
I don't have a problem with an unfiction button, but personally, I think a pin is a bit much.

Let me know your thoughts. You never know, you might be able to convince me Wink

So the cost is still the same, even with the recent badges?

I was still lookin out for a place that could do it for under 100 pieces. You right about having to pay an extra 2-3 for a pin that isn't has relative you. Too bad we didn't have a unfiction member who worked for a pin company like we we had a member that worked for a toy company and another who's a 3d modeler. Oh well. If I can find a business that will do less than 100 pins at a time I will do more work on it.

Either way I can't wait for the buttons. I will wear them proudly at the Cons.

Have you considered combining badges earned in a single stage into a single pin/badge to reduce the overall number?

If everyone has all the badges anyway... why not have just 1 for arcade aid and one for arcade aid 2 for example?
