I voted ChildOfAtom for our glorious leader. He seems the most capable Angora; I mean, look at his work on the wiki.

My nomination of Runt is because I feel our leader and our runt should be trustworthy, in case HABIT turns the tables on us.

Maybe we can runt-vote someone who hasn't checked in?

That sounds decent

Rabbit #005 here. I don't think I'd be the best leader (though I am dedicated). But I don't want to be the runt either.
Would it be a bad idea to have one of the crew as leader?

Trying to win this demonic popularity contest with an inflated sense of self worth will prove to be a bad idea on all our ends.

All of you already know who the most likeliest candidate for leader would be, stop beating around the bush.

Jeff has already taken the role of leader of the crew since he went on his little excursion. He has smarts and he knows what he is doing, plus he was closest to Ryan, so he might be able to figure out why HABIT eliminated him.

As for runt? I would have thought you all would've gone with the other obvious choice of picking someone who is trying to be a lone wolf, and who seems to not want to be apart of the team unless they are in charge.

Demongel, just because you made the "best" video, you assume that you have every qualification to be the leader. Wrong. Just because you have enough time is also not good enough. You say that being a monster will give you an edge in this competition. how? Acting like another HABIT will just ruin us even further. Stating that you'll not be bothered by having to eliminate another proves that in the slightest event that we turn our backs to you, you'd just as easily back stab us all. That doesn't sound like a leader.

In last night's chat, it was decided it'd probably be best to keep our boys safe in the huddled masses.

After lengthy discussion, the recommended ballot is:

ChildOfAtom, Master of the Wiki, for Leader

and

Darxbloop, Our Heroic Sacrifice, for Runt

wow... I wake up to a lot of excitement today.

I don't suppose anyone kept a transcript of the chat I slept through?

I would be willing to step up as leader if that's truly the consensus.

I'm pretty pissed about the chat, actually. It was arranged waaaaaay too hastily - no chance for people in other time zones/were asleep at a civilised hour to get involved. Not a cool way to decide any election guys. Sad

Either way, I think actually coming up with a coherent plan as to who to vote for will only work against us here. Wake up, people! We're dealing with HABIT here! Whatever the outcome is, he's almost certainly going to do something mad and unpredictable. The possibility that the runt will be saved and the leader eliminated has already been raised; chances are HABIT'll come up with an even sicker idea than that. So I say just vote for whoever you feel like and damn the results. It's not as we have any way of knowing who'd be best suited to lead us into the next half of the trial anyway since we have no idea what that'll entail, so our chances of actually choosing a leader suitable for the task are basically completely random anyway.

So that's the consensus?

Bloopy, hope you're okay being the sacrificial lamb...er, rabbit.

As long as I don't lead, because with my lack of awareness and general confusion I will probably lead us right off a cliff. But I'll help the leader if needed Very Happy

When things were winding down last night, it was suggested that we try another chat at 6 PM EST tonight. I'm up for that, if anyone else wants to join in.

Since I missed the last one, I feel like I should make up with this one. I may not be right on time, 'cause my buddy's just got back from Vienna and I wanna chill with him a bit, but I'll get there when I can.

Unfortunately time zones/having a job are against me on this one...

Either way, I'm against reaching a consensus. This rabbit hole is a democracy, not North Korea, if you rabbits want a rigged vote go work for Kim Jong Bugs. Razz

Yes, please, another chat would be good. Some of us were asleep when HABIT posted.

I'm good with ChildofAtom as our fearless leader... but I'm wondering what the catch will be. We're dealing with a prisoner's dilemma-- something is going to go horribly wrong. This is part 1/2 of the trial, after all.

For reference, here's wikipedia's example of the dilemma:

Quote:
Two suspects are arrested by the police. The police have insufficient evidence for a conviction, and, having separated the prisoners, visit each of them to offer the same deal. If one testifies for the prosecution against the other (defects) and the other remains silent (cooperates), the defector goes free and the silent accomplice receives the full 10-year sentence. If both remain silent, both prisoners are sentenced to only six months in jail for a minor charge. If each betrays the other, each receives a five-year sentence. Each prisoner must choose to betray the other or to remain silent. Each one is assured that the other would not know about the betrayal before the end of the investigation. How should the prisoners act?

Even a democracy is pretty much just a group of old dudes fighting amongst each other, and telling the people that's what they want.

Just saying!

I suspect the actual Prisoner's Dilemma will be the next round of this trial, since a PD doesn't really scale up to large numbers of people. My guess is that the three leaders will be put in a situation where they have to either cooperate or defect, and each team will suffer the consequences of its leader's decision.
