I went to bestbuy today and picked it up. disappointed really. The stuff already online is better & so far as I can tell the extras are kinda crap. Shoulda bought the $4 download & called it quits.

I didn't do the digital download, and got the CD from Wally World. Now having seen the film, I believe the track Castor is probably the one that should fall between End of Line and Derezzed. Its also the track I want, badly. (That trio of tracks is the peak of the Daft Punk content in the film.)

nice meeting you in TO.

I did the same thing on the ride back to Buffalo. It's amazing how different the soundtrack is after seeing the film.

Incorrectly Cut?

Has anyone tried to frame their poster? I bought a frame and the poster doesn't fit properly. It fits perfectly at the top, but about halfway down the poster becomes too wide and if I put the back on I will crush the edges. It seems that my poster was cut a bit crooked (you can see where it goes in a little again at a bottom corner).

I don't really want to spend the money to have a custom frame made and I don't feel comfortable trying to trim it.

I contacted TopSpin using the form a few days ago and have yet to receive a reply. I just tried using the 'info' address that was posted here.

42 Entertainment produced the posters, not TopSpin. Sorry, it didn't register for me which poster you meant.
It's also possible your frame is not square.

You should be able to check which it is with a piece of paper out of your printer by carefully lining it's short edge up on the long edge of the poster or frame.

If it does turn out to be the poster, a metal yardstick and single-edge razor blade should work to square it up.

Those Dry Wall T-Squares at home depot would be good for this, too

I'd really love to get a more proper order to the soundtrack listing now that I've seen the movie. Seems like it leads off with The Grid...

Okay, I've taken the list above and put it into this order, which is still not perfect, so I'm looking for suggestions to finish tweaking it (hidden due to plot point discussions below):
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
01 - The Grid
02 - Overture (Not sure of this placement)
03 - Encom Part I
04 - Encom Part II
05 - Recognizer
06 - Armory
07 - Arena
08 - Round One
09 - Disc Wars (Not sure of this placement)
10 - Rinzler (Not sure of this placement)
11 - The Son Of Flynn
12 - Father & Son
13 - Adagio For Tron
14 - Reflections
15 - Nocturne
16 - End Of Line
17 - Castor
18 - Derezzed
19 - Fall
20 - The Game Has Changed
21 - Solar Sailor
22 - Outlands
23 - Sea Of Simulation
24 - Outlands Part II
25 - Rectifier (Was this played during the speech that CLU makes to the masses?)
26 - CLU
27 - Arrival (I question this, but I believe it may be when they 'arrive' at the Portal?)
28 - Flynn Lives (Wasn't this played when Flynn appears in at the EOL? Not sure, but it could be correct in this position.)
29 - Finale
30 - End Titles

I tried the printer paper thing and the frame is definitely straight.

I was trying to avoid having to go buy something to fix it. Fortunately they are willing to replace it for me. I'm glad I tried asking before I tried to chop it.
I'd make these changes to the track order:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

01 - The Grid
02 - Overture
03 - The Son of Flynn
04 - Encom Part I
05 - Encom Part II
06 - Recognizer
07 - Armory
08 - Arena
09 - Round One (not sure)
10 - Rinzler
11 - The Game Has Changed
12 - Outlands (this plays when Quorra is driving to the safehouse)
13 - Father & Son
14 - Adagio For Tron
15 - Reflections (not sure)
16 - Nocturne
17 - Outlands Part II (plays when Sam is driving Kevin's lightcycle to the EOL Club)
18 - End Of Line
19 - Castor
20 - Derezzed
21 - Fall
22 - Solar Sailer
23 - Rectifier
24 - Disc Wars
25 - CLU
26 - Arrival
27 - Flynn Lives (Not sure. The one for Flynn arriving at the EOL Club is Fall)
28 - Finale
29 - End Titles
30 - Sea of Simulation (no idea where this goes)

I have to watch the movie again to try to find the correct order for all of the tracks :p
Over on Amazon, there's a review that states this (which helps):
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Overture- Begins with a single extended synth note underscored by cello until a solo trombone breaks in at the 0:25 mark with a couple of solemn two-noters before it blossoms into a reprise of the TRON theme at 0:52. At 1:35 the synths, string and brass come together (in a pretty rough edit) for another reprise. A very nice build up, but it doesn't appear in the film.

The Grid- Used for the movie's opening sequence, it starts with a brief plot exposition delivered by Jeff Bridges, supported by a pulsing percussion and the debut of one of the secondary themes- an 8-note pulsing reverb- accompanied by a string version of the theme before ending with a TRON reprise in synth.

Recognizer- Named for the police program that sends Sam Flynn and other captured programs to the arena games. Built upon the second major theme- the 8-note cello rush- accompanied by some Zimmer-style bottom and driving sub-tones, it also incorporates an alternate TRON keyboard motif to flesh things out. Very reminiscent of the themes from 'The Dark Knight'.

Rinzler- 8-note sub-tonal intro highlighted by a couple of 4-note crashing percussion sets. Some eerie synth notes blend into a pulsed rhythm supported by cello. Synths and rhythm rise in full with a new set of dystopian percussion before falling into a fade out. A nice intro for C.L.U.'s enigmatic enforcer.

The Game Has Changed- Plays during this film's version of the iconic- and very well done- lightcycle battle, it's also the track used in the initial teaser footage and first trailers. Starts with the 8-note sub-tonal pulse used in 'Rinzler', it only takes ten seconds for the dystopic drums to appear. At :20 seconds they crash head on with a violin rush behind them. Switches to strings and synths until the sub-tones return at 1:13 and the string emerge again, followed by more synth. This sequence repeats a couple times with some alternate synths and filtering thrown in making for a dark, intriguing mix before ending with the crashing drums.

End of Line- Welcome to the most exclusive club in The Grid. Shades of Thomas Dolby with the snare and kick synth combo. Leads into high and mid layered keyboards before adding a couple layers of 7-note synths to carry it. Add in some flutter and warbling effects and it's not bad.

Derezzed- Used for the smackdown fight scene inside the End of Line Club between the heroes and some goons- it's 100% Daft Punk! Fast, frenzied and completely schizoid- and I love the ending when it goes all off-kilter and spastic... in a good way! Only thing wrong with it is it's over way too soon at only 1:44.

TRON Legacy End Credits- Built upon repeating layers of 5-note synths over a 4-note looped drum track. At 1:18 the TRON theme comes in on keyboard. The third time through the theme it gets fleshed out with part of the orchestra as the synths drop underneath. Makes for a nice denouement.

A few extra questions I have:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
* Son of Flynn: I still question the placement of this...it seems like it's more tuned to the plot points once he's in the computer. Are we really sure that it was played this early?
* Rectifier: Okay, maybe I missed this, but what is a/the 'Rectifier' in the movie? This is what has me confused about this track. Is this maybe from CLU's speech to the masses that Kevin/Sam are looking at from above?
* Arrival: I'm kind of guessing this is the arrival at the portal. It certainly isn't Sam's arrival into the Grid (that's Recognizer). Weird track to position with the rest.
* Flynn Lives: I want this track to be located where it is in your list above (it makes sense), but I'm not convinced it belongs here still.

Boy a second viewing will help sort this out! Cool

I believe this is played when Sam is on his bike at the beginning
* Rectifier: Okay, maybe I missed this, but what is a/the 'Rectifier' in the movie? This is what has me confused about this track. Is this maybe from CLU's speech to the masses that Kevin/Sam are looking at from above?
If I'm not mistaken, the Rectifier is the ship that looks like Sark's Carrier
* Arrival: I'm kind of guessing this is the arrival at the portal. It certainly isn't Sam's arrival into the Grid (that's Recognizer). Weird track to position with the rest.
Yup, I think this is when they arrive to the portal... then they find Clu
* Flynn Lives: I want this track to be located where it is in your list above (it makes sense), but I'm not convinced it belongs here still.
I think this plays when Kevin stops Clu for going into the portal where Sam & Quorra are...
I definietly need to watch it again (4th time!)
