Oh God Sad That's such a depressing story.

Tell me about it. I reread it and decided to go wallow in the bath in misery after that. I suppose it's because I now have kids. It makes more of an impact.

EDIT: Scariest part was with the nurse at the beginning. *shudder*

The boys running down SM in Ashen Waste is decided at roughly five minutes and fifty-five seconds into the video.

During Sleep Lab Part 2 - Evan's Dream Log, during day 4, Evan mentions the bags hanging in the trees in his dream at exactly five minutes and fifty-five seconds into the video. It is interesting to note that during day two of Sleep Lab Part 1 - Sleep Deprivation (which is day 4 of Sleep Lab Part 2 - Evan's Dream Log), at 3:29, they find the photos that apparently came from A Day in the Life in a back room in the basement. Evan wakes up from his nightmare at the exact same time.

In Reunion, the camera drops and films SM upside-down, behind the boys, at exactly three minutes and twenty-nine seconds in.

During Cops Checked, No Body, the boys are discussing the photos they found in Sleep Lab Part 1 - Sleep Deprivation at three minutes and twenty-nine seconds in.

Jeff is woken up by Evan in Alex at exactly three minutes and twenty-nine seconds in.

In A Day in the Life, the strange house appears exactly five minutes and fifty-five seconds into the video.

...

Just some things I've looked at. Probably insignificant, but you can never be too sure, right?

That is very intruguing.

hmm.. I wonder what significance 3:29 could have.. (3/29?).. the 5:55 thing.. hmm.. well, in other blogs and vlogs, numbers like that (4:44, 5:55, 1:11, etcetera) have seemed to have some minor importance to when certain events happen in the entries..I think it was either in TT or MH that the main character (either Noah or Jay) woke up at a time like this. (I think it was Noah..)

Yeah, repeating numbers have been significant in other Slenderstories, and even in this one-- Maryann Corenthal lives in apartment 222. That might just be because we tend to assign significance to repeating numbers, or numbers with lots of zeroes at the end. (See: our celebration of page 1000.)

I'm not sure if any of this is significant, truth be told... the "pattern" only shows up in a handful of videos, and the events don't quite seem to be consistent in their significance. Who knows, though, it could be some kind of deeply buried clue. I'm just not quite sold it on it at this point.

Dear God.... my birthday. I'm so dead.

This is a pretty interesting find though... have you cross checked those times against other videos?

Important or not, that is a complete mind fuck.
I think the Evan waking up at the same time the bags are found is very relevant though.

That's some impressive work! Thanks for putting in all the time.

I think that best practices for transcripts usually exclude stutters and vocalizations like "um" and "er" on purpose, though, allowing for easier reading at the expense of strict phonic accuracy. You've done an amazing job in transcribing exactly what the sounds in the clip are, but I think a cleaned-up version might be more useful. Anybody else have any thoughts?

I think possibly we could replace words that Jeff naturally contracted (w'th/[with]), things like that. I went a little overboard. I don't think I did it nearly as much in TRIALS' transcript.

Agreed. I mean, I assume that the times (5:55 and 3:29) are coincidences, since there seems to be no consistency on the importance of them, and besides, if they were trying to make those times important, they would have to structure the entire video around them, which would most likely result in multiple takes since the timing could be a second or two off. But Evan waking at the same times as the pictures were discovered is almost certainly important.

The videos don't necessarily have to be filmed in a way that certain events land on certain times. I think editing after the fact could easily allow for it.

Not that that makes this any more plausible. Just a little easier to swallow if something like this comes up again and it's more significant.

Also: If anyone wants to quickly check Alex's (Or eve/an Damsel's!) videos for significance as far as these times go, that'd be cool. If nothing else it's sort of a fun thing to do, over-analyze things while the boys make us wait for more content. Razz

@Karuvito: I can do Alex's, but Damsel's will have to be someone else's job. For some reason, her site doesn't work for me.

Edit: well, that was quick. None of Alex's videos are even 3:29 long.

I can take Damsel's, I think. I'll be back soon with the results. Also, thanks Karutivo for the compliment on my transcript! Also, I am a she Very Happy

EDIT: Sorry HYBRIDs, I might need to work on this later... my internet is also objecting very strongly to Damsel's website....

We get a look at fake!Slendy in Episode 4 when the boys are car-pushing. Its a distant shot because he's in the treeline, but its there. (and its pretty obvious that one's fake.)

Thanks.

I think the Slendy at the window in that is probably fake too.

I'm still trying to go back and discern what is fake and what isn't, although I don't think it'll come to much.

At the last usstream, Evan said the only thing they faked was the suit and the doll. The question was specifically referencing Evan getting the Slender Cough, but I'm going on the assumption that they did not fake the static.

So, the question is for Video 4, if it's Fake Slendy at 1:11, is it real at 1:15?

Absolutely not. Don't be ridiculous.

But the weird thing is, at 1:11, he's much taller then Evan, and there's no audio distortion. But at 1:15, he's about Evan's height, but there is audio distortion. Maybe the boys just forgot about the audio distortion, because I don't think they would miss him if he was that close.

Also, in my humble opinion, the Slender Man in Episode 5, at about 2:03 is a fake one. Bending down like that just doesn't seem like the kind of thing Slendy would do. Besides, the funny Arnie accents immediately after the lights blow makes me think that was planned, in game.
