[OT] Tron Tribute Animation
A fanfilm animation based in the Tron world

Check out this animation that my co-workers and I created called Tron Defragmentation Arena.

DUDE!

I also do animation and 3d modeling, and I have to say I am TRULY IMPRESSED!

How long did you guys spend on that?

The actions were really clear, and your rigs were really good.

Did you guys rig those yoruself?

the one weak spot I see is in the audio where 'clue'/yellow program thuds... it sounds a bit weak. Other than that seems to be solid work.

Then again I also wonder why Yellow threw their disc before doing the wall jumping bit. Deflecting a shot aimed at them?

I am impressed.

Thanks for Comments

Thanks all for the comments.

shaved_ape - the team and I created everything visually from scratch. We use Maya for the models, rigs, and animation. Nuke for the compositing and Houdini for all of the visual effects shots (disc trails, derez, slomo effects). We spent the last 8 months working on this outside our regular jobs, so it was only a few hours a week.

Ping - agreed on that sound, we added that in at the last minute, we didn't get that one right. The throwing the disc was to distract the Red character while the yellow character was running up the blocks.

Thanks again for the comments.
