I'm not seeing the monkey pin at all. The pin is approx. 1 to 1.5 in long... Doesn't fit with a standard collar. Seems too blurry to really tell.

I think gramma meant earlier 50ish when his father would have been growing up and going to college -- not in the 70s. Anyhow that's what I thought he meant.
Whatever the case -- we sure are good at taking these morsels of info and turning them into full-blown possible plot lines. It's fun and maddening at the same time.
BTW - good call on IDing Glynn Turman.
It's possible that Josh's mom and dad were never married and she didn't have a picture of him - so Josh has never seen him.
yes thats what i meant........
offtopic: regardless that i could name many examples like "1971+Alexandria+Virginia+football" that clearly show it was a still a problem till the end of 70ies
nasa had not send people into space with an obvious migration background till the 80ies
an we are talking here about one of the most top secret things that are there - maybe im just trying to be too much logical in an fictional world

I also think Minker Sr. is the gentleman sitting "aka the black dude"
Why would you say ill send you a picture of your father and not show his face ? Not only would that retard the arg but to me be just cruel on the Pm's part.
Xeno, I don't think anyone said anything inflammatory about Mr. Minker (ill call him) I was just saying that I personally don't think his "colour" Should be significant in his placement at this fake history background.
• Fake AFB badge
• Actor as Mr. Minker
• Train crash that never happened
You see where I'm going with this, why in the world would they start throwing in historical prejudices, seems it would throw the game way off from the basic "hidden underground military" link. (I MAY BE WRONG)
Anyways… I also now do not believe the pin is monkey tail as if what I am seeing as a tail would be backwards if the hat picture is correctly placed.
I want to know whats in his hand? Is that an vaccine injector? That is what I see. Whats that mean?

This is actually really weird. I speculated that josh might be black from the book photo, but didnt think anything of it and just kinda pushed it aside.

Jane Smith;
Yeah, I see what you mean and agree, however, taking a viewpoint that blacks were lesser in some way, I think we're overlooking a reasonable point.
Perhaps, and the expression on the man's face certainly seems stressful, there were a number of persons who were considered expendable, and AM may just have felt, or actually have been such.
He looks worried and anguished to me.

Try not to read too much in to his facial expression. I work in a medical facility that has 300+ employees... EVERYONE looks like that when they're in the lab.

I have never posted before but I have been following this intently. I was wondering if that pin on the collar could be a military insignia pin? Possibly Air Force? I have been looking at different tables of insignias and badges and some are possibilities

If A. Minker is a technician, for those who are familiar with armed forces, what kind of rank would they normally have?

Mr. Minker's Gun I think he's holding a small blow torch. Much handier for torturing aliens for interrogation.
Maybe he's just about to burn some badges? ^_^

The other guy is a Researcher
- Look carefully at the Badge
- the research coat (note josh's dad is not wearing any coat)
judging from his height. he seems more likely to be the taller Researcher
for future reference

Chainsaw;
Respecting your question, not everyone who works for a branch of the military is in the military. Most of the intelligentsia, as well as workers in the massive military lab I was stationed at were civil service employees even though they worked for, and got their paychecks from the Department of the Navy, and I know this to be true of other branches of the military, as well.
I'm not talking about pilots, ship assignments, tank commanders, or officers who work for USAMRIID, but the services, in general, employ a vast number of civil service workers for tasks as simple as janitorial up through research scientists in many fields.
My guess would be that AM was CS.

Well in the print out of the trogl on the moby dick book from a couple of days ago we saw josh's thumb , now he has a white thumb and if the black guy in the photo is meant to be josh's dad then its highly unlikly.. So I would say the guy behind the black guy is josh's dad.

Multi-ethnic people come in all shades, as do most of us. My cousin has quite a dark complection, yet her twin is very light.
Wen I look at Josh's left thumb it looks darker than some of my black friends--we actually did a comparison, and I feel it's perfectly plausible for the black tech to be Josh's father. (look at the difference in Darth Vader and his kids)
