I wonder if they will actually use the phones? It seems a little arbitrary since the phones have had no actual role since they were collected.

Just had to say "I totally called it!" Very Happy

Nah, but anyway, it does seem rather silly/cruel to get all those people to hold onto and care for the burner phones for almost a full year.

Actually, this would have been the time to use it. Wink It was even mention on the location sheets. I should have used mine but didn't. Oh well.

Seems strange they kept putting money on all the operative phones to keep them active, but didn't really use nor require them for the end game.

Somewhere an accountant is getting angry... Wink

My brother had one of the phones for the TDK arg and after the game was over they sent him a text message with a code for free movie tickets. Not sure if they'll do that this time but its a possibility.

I still stand by my theory that the phones were kind of an emergency system in the event a puzzle was like the postcards (but worse) where the people were unable to find the solution they were looking for and they could use them to leak hints to. Or they were for another puzzle that was later replaced with a better one.

I can see it now. 20 years from now an operative's old cell phone, sitting in a pile of tron collectibles rings.

"I got a call on a cell phone. The number's been disconnected for 20 years...."

I guess we have our timeline set for the next Tron ARG Wink
