Mazel tov! Good work.

Unfortunately, since she's free now, we won't know for sure if the pattern held. But it's a good idea to be on the lookout for 4-7-12 patterns elsewhere in the game.

Well out of the group of three of us that were at the portland live call i was the only one not an accepted member of the crew Crying or Very sad Lt. Archon was with us and Ensin Ouroboros and Ensin Pharos joind up at the same time! Pharos was new to the game and has yet to join unfiction and so we let him take it after some coaching. and of course it being his first axon, it was the live call. (i hate beginers luck) but Pharos did superbly, pulling out a song,Two Brothers, an old civil war tune about brothers going to war on different sides. he told Melissa the meaning of the song which brought on the bees and SP. Pharos led her through the balloons and although she was frightened he sussfully coaxed her past the first "deadly sins" puzzle. she then came to a mirror in the middle of a field of brown grass with electric wezels on it. Pharos convinced her to look into the mirror which she did and then started to cry at which time Melissa broke back in and asked what had happened to the connection, Pharos dodged the question and she asked for name and rank, Pharos let her know that there were other crew members with him. she wanted to talk to another crew member and we tried to have her talk to Lt. Archon (as he didnt get to give her his contact info last week) but she didnt want to talk to him, poor guy. she did talk to Ouroboros and she did, going back through the whole whats my fav song script and signed him up as crew as well.

Pharos will hopefull join the fourm and maybe give a better account, and i know that Ouroboros to good notes and accualy talked to her so can put up a much better post but i just wanted to let you guys know what happened with our expert axon hunters of Portland.

7 - 7 - 7 or waves == seas

From reading the new end of Perdita's story aka PROPER ENDING (http://www.ilovebees.com/onceuponatime.html) it's clear that the waves represent the Seven Seas, not ROYGBIV.

Quote:
She walked and she walked and she walked along the trail of balloons until she came to another crossroads where the path forked once again. This time, the balloons on the left were marked with a single star, while those in the center bore a compass, pointing North and East and South and West. The balloons on the right were marked with waves.

"Which one should I choose?" Perdita asked ...

... "But if you could tell me which of these paths leads most directly to the Circus grounds, I would be eternally grateful."

"Take to the seas," the woman muttered. "That's my advice."

In the interest of completeness (even though the SP is free), my guess for the last three balloons is a set of biblical references.

Quote:
The ones on the left had a picture of two cows, one very skinny and the other very fat. The ones in the middle had two stone tablets with a great deal of severe-looking writing on them. And the ones on the right had two clouds, pouring with rain.

In Genesis 41, Pharaoh has a dream that involves seven fat cows being eaten by seven thin cows. Seven (the correct answer).
The stone tablets sound like the Ten Commandments. Ten.
Keeping with the Biblical theme, rain probably refers to the storm that Noah's ark weathered, when it rained for forty days and forty nights. Forty.

uh Chao, I hate to burst the 7 of music bubble, but as a composer, the western musical scale is comprised of 12 notes, with 7 natural and 5 sharp or flat, depending on your inclination. And then there are the non-western musical scales which use microtonals and tend to have a LOT more notes packed into the same octave....

ight then, 7 'natural' notes... I don't know about you, but the first thing I think of in the scale is 7 major notes - ABCDEFG... if you want to fight for 12 including the flat and sharps, I think you're just being picky Razz

Well, still seven natural then. And if nothing else most common knowledge knows of 7 notes (abcdef) and of the sharps/flats as not being as important. If nothing else it's still more reasonable than the light thing.

Anyway i was walking on the beach and i somehow ended up in a conversation with a little kid who was dodging the waves as they rushed up the beach. He told me that he knew when big waves were coming because they always got bigger and bigger for a cycle of 7 before they became weaker again. He said his dad told him that.

I'm late to the party but that's how I would have read the solve.
4 noble truths, 11 faithful apostles, 7 DEADLY SINS
ignore the mirror, or break it for 7 YEARS BAD LUCK
5 pointed star, 4 pointed compass, or 7th WAVE
(The ocean waves supposedly get bigger every seventh wave - actually the harmonic reinforcement is probably more random - but it was enough for Sting to write "Love is the Seventh Wave")
10 commandments, 40 flooded days and nights, 7 SKINNY COWS (years of biblical famine)
