I think the 'reflection' you are seeing is actually just that old photo delaminating from old age.. like old polaroids used to if you didnt wipe that preservative over them after they developed.

I think we can expect more pictures as the folder on the desktop is named 'Photos'....

by the looks of it, that black dude is NOT josh's father. look at josh's thumb on the printout- it is clearly a caucasian thumb.

Wickse101 said that one page back, then someone commented on how black people have light skin tones too.

I think it's another one of those damnable double exposures like in the trailer intercut images. It looks like a part of the separate picture (?stars, comet)... However, I'm not going down this road again (yet)- it leads to doom, destruction, loss of reality and many wasted hours!

@xumx - Cool line up, smart move!

Bring on more pictures and clues!!

Debatable... Let's hope for a "Josh, I am your father" , "Nooooooooooooo" moment (Nb. With JM senior being evil shapeshifting Coelacanth from the nether-beyond hell bent on intergalactic domination, but freelancing as a Area 51 scientist to pick up the bills)

What ethnicity is Josh

Asked a good friend who has been a Public Health nurse for nearly 4 decades and has seen patients of all skin colors to take a look at the thumb holding onto the comic. Didn't tell her anything about what this was about but asked her to opine on the owner of the thumb.

She said her best guesstimate would be a mid to late 20s to mid 40s, right-handed male with one parent of African and the other European/Caucasian heritage. I asked her what about the lightness of the thumbnail bed in the photo. She said that the lightness of the thumbnail is not uncommon at all with most races.

If you're so inclined, bring up the photo of the thumb, increase it in size, and have your friends stick their thumbs up to the screen for the thumb test.

Respecting your question, not everyone who works for a branch of the military is in the military. Most of the intelligentsia, as well as workers in the massive military lab I was stationed at were civil service employees even though they worked for, and got their paychecks from the Department of the Navy, and I know this to be true of other branches of the military, as well.

I'm not talking about pilots, ship assignments, tank commanders, or officers who work for USAMRIID, but the services, in general, employ a vast number of civil service workers for tasks as simple as janitorial up through research scientists in many fields.

My guess would be that AM was CS.

I'm aware actually. I wanted to hear someone else's opinion before consideration in offering mine. I myself work for the DoD.

Edit--I would appreciate it if people would stop trying to base one's 'race' from the color of their skin or their 'mix' of 'race' on their lack of a clear cut, solid white or dark tone. Whatever that even means. It's a social construct as far as I'm concerned and would rather one use the word ethnicity, which is scientifically favorable to be less incorrect than the term race. If you would ask me though, I would say he's of the human race. Wink

I'm not asking anyone not to have their own opinions, but I would rather practice caution when discussing this topic--a topic which may become insignificant as the game progresses I hope.

Yea to me i see what your getting at but i would vote that it is more likely to be damage of the photo since it look similar to the damage in the top right corner.

ethnicity/race

I wasn't playing the race card one way or the other, and I'm not stating that you were claiming I was. I am of mixed race/ethnicity (not saying which) and over the years I've seen the political correctness crowd bash one another over the head. It was once Negro, then black became the "thang," and then African American.

In quoting my nurse friend, she's seen it all, and heard it all regarding race. Let's not get caught up in semantics. No one has been bashing Josh/ his father because of skin color. I agree, we are all of the human race, but picking up a dictionary, you'll find "race" has different meanings.

Let's just stick with the game-- a person can be a doofus/genius if he black as night or white as snow.

I think we all have a little mix of who knows what in us - some a little more, some a little less - but it's in there (maybe even some alien fiber or coelacanth DNA). It makes the world a much more interesting place to be than if we all looked, smelled, spoke, thought... exactly the same way.

Glynn Turman trivia: He was on the short list for the Hans Solo role in Star Wars - but Lucas ended up going with Harrison Ford.

Picture

The debate of the black man being Josh's dad seems kind of silly. Josh has mentioned that he has a photo of people standing outside a large hangar. Isn't it remotely possible that Mysterio is just trying to help Josh put two and two together so he could help solidify that the picture that Josh has is indeed of his father and cohorts?

Breaking down the look of the picture, first, the man sitting is not looking at the camera but at another point. He appears to be in a discussion of somesort and the man with the clip board appears to be reviewing or showing the sitting man some data. The device in his hand looks more like a hand held torch or even a soldering gun. Yes it is possibly an innoculation device. Bad angle. Also, the little squares on his desk look like slides. Having taken many over the years they look like slides. Also, I wonder what book is in the pocket of the man holding the clipboard.

The pin on his lapel looks to me like a caduses. But it's too hard to tell. Faded image and distance. He could very well be a doctor. Yes it was difficult for blacks to go to school back in the 40-50's. But it was still possible. Howard University and other fine institution did exist and cater to "coloreds" as they were called back then.

The age of the man standing is difficult to judge. His hands do not look like an elderly mans hands, too young looking. He has deep facial line from nose to corners of his mouth but again, the eyes are more of an age giver than the chin. No eyes hard to tell the age.

So all being said, my theory is that the man sitting is to prove that the ID badges are legitimate and also to help Josh connect the picture of the men at the hanger with the ones in the project.

PS fish me if this has been said. I read 4 pages of notes and did not note this angle.

On the collar I see a question mark. I'm limited to the programs at work but hope this helps.
