In light of this new revelation, I'm checking out flights to China .....

Edit: don't speak chinese, Brazil it is then ... Some "code sequence" Melissa ... 777, yah one of those real tough ones. I just better hope she's better at protecting her crew than she is at encrypting rogue processes. Rolling Eyes

Don't thank me, thank the people in #beekeepers who faithfully reload every single page twice per second.

I think I was the only one level headed enough to post, though. Razz

The #beekeepers room virtually exploded in excitement as we all realized that the SP had been freed from Melissa's clutches, but now it seems that we're going to have to take sides. There's going to be a power struggle, and it's going to come via the new crew of the Apocalypso ... i.e., us. The SP knows that some of us have her back, that others (Weephun, I'm looking at you) have accidentally or intentionally taken sides with Melissa and that others are playing the Flea's game.
It's a safe bet that Melissa will track down the SP again, but it's up to the beekeepers as to what happens after that.
Congratulations to everyone, though, on getting 199 axons today! That's really great, and you all should be proud.

Each side has a target now.

This is getting good. Smile

I still think there's got to be a way to help both, without having to choose and make a hard line decision...

We're walking a tightrope, metaphorically, and it's up to us to keep our balance as the entities try knocking us to one side.

Each persona we encounter has been useful to us to uncovering more and more of the story.

It'll be interesting to be proven wrong, of course. Smile I am excited to see what happens next.

I actually agree with you. Look what Zudini did.

It's quite possible to play both sides.

I think we need Melissa's crew, The Princess' Knights and people in the middle that both AI's are trying to convince to join them.

That way, we have insiders and people who the AI's have to sway - that way, the people in the middle will have to be convinced which means juicy story continuing information about the "enemy"!

Well, at least the original 15 of us won't be getting ALL the flac any more... As I 've said to a number of the new crew members, Welcome to the ranks of the Infamous.

I think we need to re-read Dana's latest blog entry a little more carefully. Wink

Pulling back the curtain a bit,
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
why should there be? The point of this game is to act as a promotion, to get people involved, to get people interested in the story. The best way to keep and build interest is conflict. Look at the culminating moment of The Beast - the vote on the Mann Act II. The SP/Melissa battle will likely be this game's equivalent - something that encourages, almost requires, anyone who had a hand in playing the game to participate in one simultaneous event.

I get what you're saying, inio, and it certainly may come down to that. But there's so much ... evidence? that the SP is a part of Melissa - a fractured persona, an older copy, etc. etc. that I think that our goal of healing/repairing Melissa will be the ultimate one, not simply choosing sides based on totally metaphorical (in the SP's case) and incomplete (in Melissa's, and by extension, Durga's) stories.

I, for one, don't have enough information to choose a side, at all. I have an extreme fondness for the Sleeping Princess, but Melissa also has vast resources at her disposal that might be of great use to us in the future. Melissa's way broken, and with all the issues of trust that she and the SP and I [spec] Durga might begin throwing around, we might just have to keep balancing those tightropes and kissing the correct A.I. digital glute at the right time in order to proceed. Smile
