[OT] Audio programs

As we all know, audio is a huge part of the Marble Hornets experience. TTA's videos provide us with hours of sound-dissecting, creepy fun.

I need to know of an audio program I can use to start dissecting along with the rest of you guys.

I'm a poor college student, so is there ANY program I can download that's at least decent?

Personally I'm a fan of Audacity. Has most of the same tools that your paid programs will have, and it's totally free because it's an open-source project:

I also have always used audacity. I think there may have been once or twice where it wasn't good enough.

Audacity is a good idea mostly because it's free. There are some things it lacks, but it includes its own language to make that gap up. (Though, I suppose that if you really need a new plugin, you can download one. Let me check.

Yup. Audacity is compatible with VST plugins, as well as having numerous ones written in Nyquist.)
