ah man here i was expecting another blog to follow or a video haha

immediate thoughts: one of the email correspondences earlier had "patrick yetspeaks" spelled out, we also already had "listen" or "silent" spelled out in exactly the same way ("netsil") in a different email (also in the same caps lock style of writing). NETSILSDROWEHT = "The words listen" backwards - seems similar to some of the messages from other emails. regardless i can make plenty of different words but i cant seem to come up with any coherent sentences (taking "patrick" to be a name and not part of the anagram).

can't be a coincidence that the twitter post also contained anagrams. they could all be entwined somehow, that would be pretty hard to figure out if there isnt a set pattern to it.

the real question is who or what we're looking for, and where we should be looking for it...and what relevance the QR text or indeed any of the information given so far might have re: the mysterious dr. basire and the previous tree 'owners'

hmm yeah university would be right (cant remember which, although its probably not that important). im going crazy with the NCMKIO bit haha, why was it on the edited flyer??!

i would definitely ask about the letters, my theory is that david is behind the letters and annotations although it's based purely on a hunch. i'd ask blake as he has the most contact with dr.basire anyway who seems to be integral to this. i dont know if blake would know about the letters themselves but he might be able to fill in some gaps:

-who were patrick and arthur? (guess - previous students of dr. basire)
-what was basire so close to discovering that could "change the world"? so the question i guess is what research basire has been doing recently and if it has affected his behaviour at all.
-(related to my theory on david) blake mentioned a few blog posts ago that david was at a cemetery for no reason, has his behaviour been strange recently? other than sleep problems and posting anagrams on his twitter.

and ones that i dont think blake or david could answer:

-what is in the vials talked about in the letters?
-one of the letters says basire is down to 5 seedlings/saplings - we know that blake/david are growing one, where are the rest?
-what happened to patrick and arthur and why was patrick's name mentioned both in an email and the qr code?
