Exactly.

I pointed the same thing out some time ago, but attributed it to the guys re-writing the timeline as the story goes on, but with their eye for detail, I can't imagine them effing this up, so it has to be there for a reason. Someone should write the guy on twitter.

indeed. i often wonder just how much was planned and how much was a startling ability to roll with whatever comes along. and once this is all over, if those boys are of age and it turns out they were just winging it, i think i want to send them a bottle of wine or something as a token of my awed appreciation. O.o

That's some interesting theorycrafting, Carnival. It makes a certain kind of sense, too- the human psyche can have a great deal of difficulty letting go of something cherished, especially one's own parents. And since we don't know the circumstances of their death, there's no telling what sort of impact it would have had on a young man just coming into his formative years.

There also might be beard envy at play here, but we can hardly blame Vinnie for that. Wink

I feel stupid for asking (I have been away from the game forever and I honestly don't have time to go through hundreds and hundreds of pages) but... when did we find out Jeff's and Alex's parents died? And how?
I hate to be that person who doesn't want to search, but I've been searching and can't find anything Sad

Last Livestream. We got a stern talking to about their parents being dead. Then Jeff had his "Insurance money goes a long way" comment.

D'oh!! Ninja'ed.

Thank Carnival... but yes... the wiki is your best resource for questions like that. You'd be hard pressed to find the page where that was first brought up here.

You think that Jeff might have had something to do with their death?

I mean, honestly, it doesn't feel right to me, and I think that comment was just part of Jeff's dry humor, but it's a possibility.

No, I agree about the dry wit. I can;t see Jeff being involved in their death. It just creeps me out. I can't help it, I've watched too many true crime shows.

It's better then watching too much reality tv.

I don't know if it was dry wit. To me it was more of a "here's an answer delivered very flatly now stop talking about it," but I might be over-analyzing.

i thought it was just a symptom of his trauma, myself. half-joking, half-biting-the-stupid-persistent-fans-asking-personal-and-painful-questions.

That's quite possible, too.

Point is, Jeff didn't kill his parents. Not that, uh, anyone thought he did in the first place.
