Anyways, talking seriously, what does the sound distortions mean? I know whenever a 'bad thing' comes near, it starts weird, but with jessica its not that bad.

Maybe shes hiding something on her room? Oh well.

Personally I think that the HoL thing needs a break. The sounds are probably coming from Jessica's room, who probably has a Slender connection (hence distortion). I feel like they've given no indication for the hotel to be anything other than an hotel. Its not like theres a mysterious door anywhere or anything.

So, it seems to me that folks are missing a rather obvious problem/mystery/blibbyblahwhatever here. That being, why the Crap would Jessica's audio distortion start NOW? I mean, we clearly didn't get anything in either of the earlier times she showed up, right? To me, that means something must have changed in game, as I really hope they're not just THAT lazy to not even address the obvious plot hole here otherwise. However, since we know so little about Jessica, we can't really say Exactly what that might be.
It could be that she's "waking up" if the OMGAH SHE'S BEEN WITH J THIS WHOLE TIME theorists are to be believed, and remembering what occured in those seven months, which might explain why she's taking even more of an interest in Jay, Clearly waiting in the hall to talk to him and all that junk, trying to gauge what he remembers.
OR, it could be that these cha-cha-cha-cha-changes have been brought on by Jay's entry of the noentry video, as that's the only really big in game event that's happened recently that we know of. How, you might ask? Well, what if it got someone's attention? Someone/thing who didn't want it posted? (noentry, remember). This could be Masky, Slendy, or ToTheArk itself, all of which Could be said to be connected to the slendysickness. But I would guess that we'll have to wait till the next entry before anything even slightly definite might be found.

Alsoalso, I really don't think trying to make out Jessica's phone conversation when Jay is walking up is worthwhile, as I Really doubt she was even talking with anyone to begin with. To me, the way she was standing OUTSIDE her hotel room to have this conversation and it ended EXACTLY as Jay was walking up all point to it being faked.

My theory for now:

totheark is dead. He/she was murdered and the blood in Entry 29 belongs to them.

Jessica has the sickness, and is slowly turning into one of the masks. She's going to be totheark's replacement.

Two things that are off topic but keep coming up again and again:

1) Just because there's a gal in this series now doesn't mean that she should automatically be deemed a sex object; people keep posting 'lololol, Jessica x [insert almost every character here]' like it ain't no thing. Please stop with that. There's no evidence for any of it, but more importantly, it has nothing to do with Marble Hornets so speculating in that direction is so very off topic.

2) The fact that people think that Jessica having kept her door mostly closed automatically makes her suspicious is (I suppose in the context of Marble Hornets) plausible, though please keep in mind that as a woman, this kind of behavior is common and is a survival tactic for a lot of us. We as an audience have followed Jay's trail and we're relatively convinced that he's an okay guy, but he's a stranger to her and, like many women around strangers, she's probably taking precautions. Assuming that a gal is going to be open and friendly unless she has something to hide is exactly the opposite of what is likely to happen in real life, much of the time. Being tentative and figuring out what the threat level to her (or any lady in circumstances around guys they don't know) is sort of an important step, so I just want to put that out there for people who skip straight to 'OMG SHE'S NOT SHARING SHE MUST BE BANGING TTA!!!1...

Now, regarding the episode! I agree that she's probably sharing the same symptoms as Jay, though I think that she's probably shared some experiences with him and/or other characters as well, rather than being a slender-stalkee from a different tangent who collided with Jay in the hotel. Judging by the way that she's lurking his room, she is probably suffering from the same memory loss (perhaps!) and is trying to figure out what, exactly, she's doing there. So they're both covering their tracks.

Then again, is she talking on a phone at the beginning of the entry? Has she been in contact with someone else? It could be that she's watching him in her not-awake time. I still have no idea what the banging is, though. At one point it sounds like something is breaking, like a vase or something... I don't know, did you guys here that?

Regarding Jay visiting the location found in #29, I can see why he would go -- he has no real other option, right? And this is the guy who went back to the horrible house not once, but twice, and only decided to quit when his brains got melted and his camera busted! I imagine that returning will not really yield anything useful; so it seems with coming back to things in this series... but we'll have to wait to see!

I'm also curious to see how Jessica will react when Jay has a real talk with her. Will she even sit through it? Will she stop talking to him altogether? Will she team up with him? (I probably wouldn't, if I was in her position: "so uh, I'm going to check out this drainage pipe filled with blood from something that I'm not sure what happened. Wanna come with?" Uhhh, no?) In any case...

eta: did anyone else see the crazy pixelation over Jay when he was waking up to address the banging noises? Or was that just an artifact of watching the entry on youtube?

I agree, she cannot be a Slendy Veteran. If she was she would of been more willing to accept that the noises were happening as she would be aware of the crazy shit. Also the distortion is very slight and very new. It didn't seem to be there last time. Whether her involvement stems from Jay or not cannot be proven; but I'd be inclined to say it doesn't.

What if Jay finds a body at the location of Entry 29 (ala the Rake entry in EMH.)?

Or better yet, a tape? We need a clear indication of who the victim was.
